Its namesake natural bridge is the centerpiece of the park. The natural sandstone arch spans 78 ft (24 m) and is 65 ft (20 m) high. The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years. The park is approximately 2,300 acres (9 km2) of which approximately 1,200 acres (5 km2) is dedicated by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves as a nature preserve.

  • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

Great Stay!

I was very impressed with our stay. I dont think the pictures do justice for the space the place has. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Owner was very nice and accomodating. Would highly recommend staying here.

Renters beware

We typically stay in the Slade area to rock climb but the cabin we stayed in last month was already booked. We decided to stay in Stanton and found this place at a pretty good rate per night. Check in process was easy. Overall the house was clean but did show wear and tear not visible in listing photos. Faint musty smell and dehumidifier ran not stop. I emptied the water from the dehumidifier 4 times from Thursday - Sunday. Small ant problem kitchen that were coming through the back door, not a big deal, I didn’t want to burden the owner so I bought ant spray which helped. Overall for the price it wasn’t that bad. Then Sunday it all went down hill. After checking out I got a message from the owner that he found pet hair on the couch. I told him we do have a dog at home but we did not bring her with us. However my daughter brought a blanket with her which is where the dog hair came from. The owner accused us of having a dog in the house then showed pictures of previous damage and demanded we pay to have it repainted. Future renters beware: I would take pictures of any damage upon checking in so Jim does not accuse you of the damage.
