Fantastic Farmhouse
We had a wonderful stay over the Christmas holiday at Pioneer House. It's a beautifully restored farmhouse with loads of character. Very nicely decorated with room for everyone. Even a decorated Christmas tree and wall wreath was provided. It was perfect!

Peace and serenity!.
Location of the property provides amazing privacy. It's an older home which adds to its charm. There are several fruit trees on the property and the kids loved feeding apples to the cows on the adjacent property. We absolutely enjoyed our stay there. It's a shame we couldn't fully enjoy our week stay at the end of August because it rained the last four days of our stay. We will definitely stay there again if given the opportunity. The only recommendation I can give to the owner is to put up a reflector marker at the entrance of the driveway. It's a little difficult to find at night.

Beautiful and peaceful spot
This is a beautifully restored old house with all modern amenities and which is immaculately maintained. It is in a great rural setting which is just a short drive our of town. Our group of 6 adults and a small dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was lots of delicious ripe apples, pears and plums on the trees in the garden, and we enjoyed feeding the fruit that had dropped onto the ground to the very friendly cows and calves in the field beside the house. The house is conveniently located to explore the nearby islands as well as the Mount Baker area. Would definitely stay here again.

Farmhouse charm
We stayed here for three nights of crabbing off of Camano Island. It was such a charming place to hang out with our kids and dogs. And very nice to have a relatively well-appointed kitchen in a rental. The cows next door were sweet too. The property manager was very quick to respond to any questions. I appreciated the owners taste and them sharing their home. Definitely would stay here again.

We came from the East Coast and stayed for a few days. We went to a family reunion nearby. The location was perfect for us . We enjoyed the house: clean, many bathrooms, good kitchen, great views from the yard, etc. We would come back for sure.

The Pioneer House was a very pleasant place to stay in Stanwood. Close to downtown Stanwood and easy access to Camano Island. This historic property is comfortable and close to fields and cows.

Beautiful comfortable historical home
Spacious house that’s is well stocked and beautifully restored. The yard is full of fruit trees and flowers, and we loved the neighboring cows. Close to town but a nice country setting. Overall it’s a lovely home.

Large comfortable home
We loved staying at Pioneer house. Large home with lots of room for our group. The bathrooms are huge! Fully stocked kitchen. We ate apples and plums off of the fruit trees. It was just minutes from the grocery store and restaurants. The only drawback was the train tracks nearby. It was really warm the 1st night and we needed windows open to sleep. The train horns woke us up in the night. Also, while the location is very private my 9 year old grandaughter was really uncomfortable with no window coverings on all the windows. We would stay here again if the opportunity arose.

The house looks better in person than in the photos. Our family of four was comfortable with the place. There are farms and fruit trees surrounding the property. It's 5-10 minutes from town but feels remote. We enjoyed it!

Perfect get away
This is an awesome historic farm house. It reminded us of our place in the midwest. So homey and we loved sitting on the deck watching eagles and red tailed hawks spar in the sky. There were hummingbirds at our feeders all the time. The gardens were well kept and flowering was beautiful. Our entire family loved the pioneer house and its location. Would definitely stay again! And the grounds are ideal for dogs to explore! My only suggestion would be to upgrade the two queen mattresses. Thanks so much for keeping this piece of your family preserved and sharing it with us.

Pioneer House
We stayed at the Pioneer House for 2 weeks while we looked for a place to live. The country house was a relaxing and peaceful place to stay. We enjoyed the beautiful flowers gardens and beautiful weather while we were there. It was so nice to sleep with the windows opened. A few days it reached 90 degrees but the downstairs had AC which was great to have. Loved using the kitchen stove and kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Great place, to stay and we recommend it.

Best vacation house ever
The historic home was probably our favorite house we've ever stayed in. The house was large enough for our family with room to spare. We are remote working/learning and we were able to spread out, tap into the very fast wifi and not disturb each other. The house itself was warm, inviting and very much felt like we were staying in a close relative's home. The kitchen had everything we needed. The huge grounds were more than ample for our kids to run around and explore. We saw so many birds and deer in the yard. It was just fabulous. Will definitely come back.

Nice secluded restored farm house
This is a beautifully restored farmhouse at the edge of Stanwood on a property filled with old fruit trees. We were there because my siblings and I were painting my mother's house in Stanwood, so we weren't typical explore-the-area tourists. Mainly we used the house as a dormitory to recover from painting. It was perfect for that--very close to my mom's place, clean and well-equipped to make breakfast. Plus we picked some of the apricots and plums, which were delicious.

The old home has been nicely brought to the 21st century yet keeping the farmhouse feel. The kitchen and baths all updated and beds comfy. Pretty colors, simple and nice furnishings, super clean! Amazing home.
Cozy remodeled, beautiful farmhouse. Had literally everything and more than you will need. From the moment we stepped into the house it felt like home. Plenty of space for all. Loved the outdoor garden area for the peace and quiet. Two year old granddaughter loved running around outside and pointing out all the fruit on the trees and flowers. We will definitely stay here again.

Country charm with creature comforts, beautiful gardens and an excellent kitchen!
This was a very clean and roomy home with lots of light and charm. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were extremely comfortable and the gardens were beautiful, even though we are in the midst of a draught. There were fruit trees and berry bushes full of ripe fruit. The only down side was that the driveway was poorly marked and difficult to find.

Perfect Fit
This farmhouse was the perfect fit for our family of 6! We loved the style of the home, the beautiful gardens outside, and the convenient location to everything we wanted to see in the Pacific Northwest. The house was stocked with everything we would possibly need, and there were many extra touches that went above and beyond. We had plenty of space to spread out inside the home, and we enjoyed the outside just as much. This is a very clean, detailed, and well cared for property. We would definitely stay here again!

Nicely renovated farm house that has kept its character while providing the updates for this century. We enjoyed the ambiance and ample room for our two dogs to play fetch in the back. For those visiting be sure to check out the state parks and coffee roaster on Camano Island and the restaurants in Stanwood. The instructions for getting there were clear and helpful notes were provided at the house.

This is a beautiful home in Stanwood, close to interesting shops in Mount Vernon. A very peaceful home with a large yard. The home is in excellent condition - very clean and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay over New Year's!

Absolutely Beautiful
Loved this home! It is taken care of very well and in the perfect location! We stayed here to go see the Christmas lights at Warm Beach and it was only a 15 minute drive away....would have been less if we didn't make a wrong turn somehow.

Wonderfully updated historical farmhouse
We loved our brief stay at the farmhouse! Everything was immaculately clean, the kitchen was fully stocked with equipment including appreciated extras like ziploc bags. We headed over to the Warm Beach Christmas Lights event which was so fun for our littles, and the best lights display I've seen. This would be an excellent getaway for an entire winter break, like having an entire bed and breakfast to ourselves (make your own breakfast, of course!).

Well supplied beautiful farmhouse
This is our second visit to this house and we loved our stay. The internet is adequate but not zippy and our cell phones worked. The house is equipped better than any VRBO house. The kitchen has everything and I even found a pad of paper and some tape to close up an envelope. There are no curtains on the windows downstairs and some of the upstairs windows are without as well. There's only one blow dryer that we could find. The owners must live near by, because we needed help with the fireplace on our last stay and they came right away.
