Secluded Mountain Cabin with Spectacular Views- Hiker's Dream

4WD/AWD REQUIRED!!
This newly constructed cabin is extremely secluded and has unbelievable views of the Shenandoah Valley from the top of Great North Mountain. The cabin features a sprawling deck with 2 porch swings, an outside dining space and a grill. The upstairs of the Cabin has 2 bedrooms with a bathroom off the master as well as an additional full bathroom. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking with seating at the island as well has a dining room table. Finished basement features a desk, pull out couch for additional sleeping, full bathroom, and dart board. The game room has a pool table and air hockey table. This cabin is a hikers dream with private access to the Tuscarora Trail and near many amazing hiking spots, including Eagle Rock.
**Please Note: You MUST have an All-Wheel drive or 4-Wheel Drive vehicle regardless of weather conditions. The route to the cabin is very long and steep. We highly recommend that you get there before dark and if you will be arriving late we ask that you let us know so we can prepare accordingly.

INCLEMENT WEATHER. Safety is a huge priority for us and we will be monitoring for icy or snowy conditions. If this occurs, the driveway could potentially be too dangerous to travel. If the driveway is unsafe to travel, we will inform guests as soon as possible and discuss their options.

We will block the months of January until April on VRBO but feel free to reach out if you are interested in booking during these months. Because of weather, we will take it on a case by case basis based on road conditions and the weather forecast.

INSECTS. Since the cabin is in the woods, certain times of year there can be more insects than normal, primarily stink bugs and ladybugs.

Amazing views from the mountaintop

The perfect Thanksgiving family venue! This place has amazing views, the backyard is a hiking trail, it has a huge fireplace that we kept going our entire stay, plenty of games, plenty of space for your own fun or relaxation and a huge deck with swings to enjoy the views!! Would highly recommend this to anyone with AWD or 4WD!!

Secluded and perfect!

Fantastic stay! Our host was great and there were no issues or hiccups but if there had been I'm sure they would have been resolved quickly. I cant say enough about this place. Clean, high end and just as peaceful as it seems in the pictures. The decks and views are AMAZING!! Highly recommended and we plan to be back there again!

Spectacular view

This was the most perfect place to stay. The entire home was incredibly clean and had everything we needed. The view is stunning, and the outlook was a perfect place to watch the sunrise. The host was very responsive and helpful. I would not have changed a single thing about this trip and we will definitely be back.

If you need a time off and relax this is the right place just to be by yourself and family. The place is beautiful the details in the house are perfect. They provide you with everything you need. We had a great time just relaxing, talking, eating, drinking coffee and playing games. I would highly recommend it as I am looking forward to come back again. Thank you.

Amazing Views

Fun ride up the mountain brought us to a jaw dropping view of this beautiful home . The views from everywhere were amazing and make sure you take a couple chairs up to the new lookout point. Will be back

Exceptional Views - Secluded and Perfect for a Quiet Vacation

We loved our stay here. I cannot emphasize how gorgeous the views from the cabin are. The drive to the cabin takes a while but the views make it completely worth it. The cabin was perfect for our quiet family vacation as it is far from other cabins. The cabin was extremely clean and well appointed. The check in process and directions were clear. Overall this helped us enjoy our vacation. Definitely looking to be back!

Almost Heaven, it was

This property is outstanding in every respect. From the booking process to the photographs and information provided, our expectations were consistently exceeded. The recommendation to use a 4x4 vehicle proved wise, and our jeep handled the mountain drive with ease. Upon arrival, the property's stunning beauty and swing set left us in awe. The interior of the home was equally impressive, with its spacious, beautifully decorated rooms and welcoming atmosphere. The addition of three fans and a remarkable fireplace further enhanced our stay. The deck offered panoramic views that left us speechless. Moreover, the 360-degree lookout tower was an unexpected delight, providing unforgettable sunset experiences. The proximity of the Tuscarora Trail allowed us to enjoy hikes in both directions. Our time at Almost Heaven was nothing short of extraordinary. We were fortunate enough to extend our stay by an additional day and are grateful for the opportunity to have rented this property. Spectacular view! Beautiful accommodations!

Yes, you need AWD, but the drive up the mountain is very manageable and worth it! The house is absolutely beautiful. Well-decorated and full of amazing features: hewn beams, double shower heads, large kitchen island. The deck provides amazing views from dawn to dusk. Hit the hiking trail and find Eagle Rock...wow! Best Vrbo ever!

Amazing cabin

Beautiful cabin on a peaceful ridge in the mountains. My husband and I spent the weekend with our friends and had an amazing time. The cabin is decorated very tastefully with a beautiful kitchen. The bathrooms are very nice and I will be copying them in my own bathroom remodel :) There were plenty of fun games at the cabin like corn hole, pool and ski ball. My favorite were the porch swings looking over the mountain. Breathtaking in the morning!!! Will definitely be coming back :)
