Great stay with really nice atmosphere in the middle of Sandnes. Really appreciated the hospitality and the bar/restaurant options. We had an amazing traditional Norwegian meal, best meat cakes I ever tried.

very cleaning room, friendly staff. enjoy the stay. shower could add a partition to prevent water spilled out.
The hotel looked beautiful. The dining and breakfast areas give nice ancient vibe. The area is very walkable. However, the beds creaked a lot and were not very comfortable
It is in perfect location next to Sandnes train station, good selection of food, historical hotel. Love it. This was my second visit in 4 months. Will visit again when I am in the area.

It was ok 😊 good location in the middle of town. I was a bit surprised that the room was quite set back from the main Gamlaværket itself in a weird sort of corridor with a key attached to a huge Sandnes gauk rather then a key entry system using a card. Bathroom very small but very good shower - very clean
Bed extremely comfortable
No character to the room as such and didn’t feel it was part of Gamlaværket at all.
Breakfast was lovely and good selection, no complaints at all
Staff friendly but overall room felt like it wasn’t part of the main establishment

Super breakfast. A bit corky and cozy, hotel is n what used to be a brick stone factory.
Fine rom, veldig god frokost. Hyggelig betjening. Minus at hotellet ikke hadde parkering, men lett å finne parkering i gatene rundt hotellet. Endel musikkstøy utenfra natt til søndag.
Room below standard, booked the suit, poor condition and poor staff engagement, breakfast was terrible, all in all 1/10 score, would not recommend this hotel, my stay was based on 2 nights over the Christmas holidays
I have stayed 3 nights at this hotel. I love to stay here for several reasons.
As prices in Norway is higher than other countries, it is very reasonable choice to get free breakfast. They provide amazing breakfast and I enjoyed everyday.
Also location of this hotel is very nice. It is close to mart, subway, bus station, restaurants. You can go anywhere in 5 minutes.
I love all staff members help me well. They always want to listen customer’s voice and help their customers. I am highly appreciated their attitude and support.
I would love to stay this hotel when I visit Sandnes again someday.

Yes we had a situation through noregian customers to finish our work earlier like planned, also weather was making a game with ferries, Hotels.com have tried to get a cancellation for us, but director of hotel means no way through done prepayment....we wonder a little bit about this case
We had the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. It all started with the unpleasant and arrogant girls when checking in. They were more interested in chatting with each other than actually helping us out. When arriving at the room it was nothing like the pictures. Fairly run down but the location was by far the worst thing about it. We got a room with a night club as a neighbor and they were blasting music until 02.00.
We also had the pleasure of being informed that dogs were allowed and they were for an extra fee of 300:- nok and the parking wasn’t included so that was another 300:-
By the time we went down to eat breakfast we were informed the dogs weren’t allowed there due to people being allergic and when I asked if we could sit in the restaurant instead which was closed during the morning they said no to that as well.
Honestly, we’ve travelled all over the place and this was just a really bad experience all together.
We informed them when we checked out about our concerns and they informed us their manager would call me. Wanna bet that’s not going to happen?
Anyways - stay away. Not worth the money.
Despite a cool reception at front desk, I would return to this hotel. Checking-in, the young lady let us stand in front of her without speaking to or acknowledging us. After a minute we asked if check-in was around the corner. She didn’t welcome us, instead said check-in was at 3pm but we could leave our bags behind the counter. Later she took our dinner reservation and likely forgot to reserve a table as the evening restaurant staff didn’t appear to expect us.
The person who checked us in was friendlier welcoming us to “this old hotel” she was jovial.
I would return because of location and local attractions in the vicinity of Gamla Værket.
