Werder is a topographical term used for islands that lie between rivers or in standing water. Werder also refers to land that has been dyked or drained of swamp. Some sights: The village church is a Romanesque fieldstone church from around 1300 without a tower; wooden belfry with two bells, one of which is from 1878 and the late Baroque Staven manor house from the end of the 18th century, rebuilt in neo-Gothic style in the 19th century. It is approx. 800 m, to Blanksee approx. 1000 m (1 km), to Baarssee approx. 2000 m (2 km), to Langer See approx. 2400 m (2.4 km) and to the huge Tollensesee Neubrandenburg it is approx. 16 km. To Freidland with its outdoor pool and its large lake (the Friedländer Mühlenteich) it is approx. 15 km. The Tollensetal and the wetland Waidmannslust are approx. 20 km away.
On 45,000 m2 there is plenty of space for you - of course there is also cosy garden furniture/loungers and a charcoal barbecue; everything is separate for you at our riding stables on the beautiful Mecklenburg Lake District: The facility offers a total of 32 horse boxes and outdoor stabling for around 20 horses, an indoor riding arena (20x60m), a dressage arena (20x40m) and a separate jumping arena as well as the farm's own horse walker and a lunging hall. This means that our riding centre has everything you need for competition and hobby sport. We also offer children's riding and riding lessons for "the grown-ups" as well as guided rides (on our own or the farm's own horses).
Holidays at the riding stables in the Mecklenburg Lake District. A special kind of nature experience in a comfortable, large apartment in a two-family house. The entire first floor of our 310 m2 two-family house, in which the great holiday flat on our riding farm is located, is one of the largest, comfortable holiday flats in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with 4 bedrooms (incl. living room/bedroom) at 135 m2. There is also a large sofa bed in the living room. You also have a large kitchen with a new, modern fitted kitchen and a huge dining area (large dining table with cosy, solid chairs). The riding facility on which our holiday flat is located and our beautiful region offer everyone a great recreational experience and, if necessary, horse and rider of course all the individualities of horse keeping and equestrian training. As well as the opportunity to explore the nature around our lakes on a ride through the woods and meadows, the facility offers a large indoor riding arena, a dressage and jumping arena and, of course, riding lessons for young and old. Or simply enjoy the "petting zoo" with our horses, dogs and cats.
In the surrounding area you will also find: Neustrelitz (approx. 40 km): Am Domjüch Festivals/cultural events. Festival in the castle garden, open-air operettas + theatre performances every summer. Orangery, castle and town church are venues for the MV Festival. May: Indie rock, Immergut Festivals. 45 km to the Landgrabental and 50 km to the Müritz National Park (all distances from our holiday home on the Staven riding farm).
Child-friendly, family-friendly, quiet and yet in the great area of the Mecklenburg Lake District. Approx. 5 minutes by car from the A 20 motorway towards Berlin or approx. 45 minutes to the islands of Rügen (Altefähr seaside resort) and Usedom.
