Wonderful weekend getaway!

Our group of 6 had a fantastic stay! Well furnished, large kitchen, cozy spaces, and clean bathrooms just to top it off! We loved being able to walk to historic downtown and enjoyed the guest book with lots of fun recommendations. Would definitely recommend staying here!

A great getaway weekend house

The house was perfect for a getaway weekend trip. It was great to be able to walk into town and enjoy the shops, locate winery and great food! Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed the comfort of the home and the kitchen was amazing to cook in. We would be delighted to come back again with family!

Meeting in the Middle has never been better!

This was our best home away from home experience! The home was well appointed with great attention to detail. The hosts were helpful and quick to respond. We enjoyed our stay so much, we have rebooked for early October.

Great historic 1801 house and town !!!

We loved the history of the St Genevieve French colonial settlement the most ! Loved your 1801 historic house too ! Quaint town with unique shops, eateries and artful historic novelties. Try the chocolate cake at Audobons restaurant cause it is sooo good it melts in your mouth !

Fabulous stay!

The overall aesthetic of the home was spectacular. Clean, adorably decorated, and thoughtfully supplied with all the essentials. The modern amenities were beautifully integrated with the old world charm and the hosts friendly and accessible. Wish we’d had even more time to explore the numerous shops and historic attractions in town, but those we did visit were delightful. If you’re looking for a carefree, down home getaway, the 1801 House comes highly recommended!

Nicely appointed - perfect location!

We will definitely be visiting this property again. The location was perfect - quiet neighborhood and could walk to shops/restaurants. The St. Gen Trolley even picked us up/dropped us off right at the home. This property was plenty of room for 4 adults, and came equipped with nice touches from the hosts (pastries from the local bakery, makeup wipes in the bathroom, all the fixings for coffee, a nice binder with brochures and menus, etc). I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to visit the area

We Loved 1801 House

The 1801 house was perfect for us and our friends to stay at during our friends wedding weekend. The home was very cozy and had plenty of space. We loved hanging out on the back patio and front porch. Also great location near downtown Ste. Genevieve! Great communication with the owners when we had questions about check in process as well. Would highly recommend!

Gorgeous, clean home in perfect location! Very nice touches though out. The pastries on arrival were delicious! Trolley for wineries picked us up right in front of the house. Walked to restaurants and shops. Beautiful home and beautiful neighborhood. Thank you would love to stay again!

Fabulous Girls Weekend

The home is absolutely beautiful. We rented for a girls weekend for 8 and it was perfect for our group! Lots of little details we so appreciated. Great location, within walking distance to shops and restaurants and the trolley picked us up and dropped us off at the house. We could not have asked for a better place or hosts who were very attentive and easy to communicate with. We plan to come back again in the fall!

Perfection!!!!

This house a was super clean and so welcoming!!!! Owners left tons of info for things to do and places to eat to make it easy for us! They left fresh pastries from a local pastry shop for us and other small touches throughout the house to make it a special trip for me and my girlfriends!I can’t think of any negatives. Me and my friends WILL be back!!!

Ste. Gen gem

This renovated old home is so comfortable. It has everything you need for pleasant stay. Walking distance to historical downtown. The only slight negative is the traffic. If you are there during the week, the school traffic is terrible. No late sleeping! We are early risers so it really didn’t bother us too much. Would stay there again!

Wonderful stay!

Four friends and I stayed at the 1801 House and it was wonderful! There were champagne and desserts from a local bakery waiting for us when we checked in. We stayed in on the first night and cooked (the kitchen has everything you need with modern appliances, cookware, etc.), and enjoyed our meal on the back patio. The bedrooms were comfortable, and with 2.5 bathrooms we had plenty of space for getting ready. The Ste. Genevieve Trolley picked us up from the house, which was very convenient, and took us to several wineries. The house was very clean and inviting and the hosts definitely go the extra mile to make their guests feel welcome.

Girls Winery Trip

This is a very charming and cozy house. It was very clean and the appliances were all new/newer. The home has 1 queen bed, 1 full bed, and 1 king. They also have a blow up bed in the closet. Great selection of k cup coffees and tea bags. A very special surprise of gooey butter cakes from Pats, the local pastry shop.

Awesome walkability

Our last-minute decision to stay at the 1801 House was a great one! A lovely home with a great kitchen, greeted us upon arrival. The hosts were a dream to communicate with, and the house was impeccably clean. We hope to return.
