We loved our condo here in downtown Steamboat. No problems were encountered. We walked to dinner every night. Slept hard-fished hard. We would absolutely stay here again!

In the heart of SB!

What a cozy condo in the heart of Downtown Steamboat Springs! I was able to enjoy walking around downtown a lot during my stay, everything is really accessible. If you're looking for the most convenient restaurant, try out Otto Pint. It's directly next to the main entrance to go to your condo! The condo was cozy, warm, inviting, and so clean... I will most certainly be back!

great stay post surgery

This property was immaculate, beautifully furnished and a lovely place to stay. We selected this after having ski injury surgery repair as it has elevator entry, and was accessible with my new knee walker. I appreciated the management company texting to ensure we were able to navigate the unit entry codes, and a few exit reminders. The condo building has two restaurants on first level, which I was able to get to with my walker.

Great stay at Howelsen Place

We had a great stay, starting with excellent communications with Steamboat Lodging before we ever arrived. Best part was, they stayed in touch and made sure we had everything we needed on arrival and during our stay. This unit was perfect for a couple that wanted to enjoy the slopes and the vibrant downtown area. Having a ski locker on site at the mountain was GREAT. Get out of those ski boots and hang out Apre Ski at the resort and ride the free bus home without handling skis. Bus stops 1/2 block away. Head to one of many great restaurants at your back door. Comfy place with everything we needed!! thanks!

We would not book again

This condo was dated and run down. We were sorely disappointed, and would never book with this company again. The notes with orders such as "load the dishwasher," and "take off your shoes," were odd and somewhat demeaning. WE PAID YOU, you were the hosts, and we were relegated to children and housekeepers. When we turned our bed down the first night, it was poorly made and looked as if someone had possibly slept there the night before. No housekeeping whatsoever, poorly maintained and dated. NEVER AGAIN. We were compelled to sign a very rigid contract, probably because management realizes that once you arrive, odds are, you will back out and look for something nicer and better maintained, where you feel like a guest, rather than an enslaved housekeeper.

Exceptional Condo

We stayed at this awesome condo in the BEST downtown location in Steamboat for our 17th Anniversary! You literally park your car and don't need to drive anywhere. Everything is within walking distance or biking distance. This condo was fully stocked with great cookware, barware, Viking appliances, utensils, cooking utensils, coffee maker, coffee and filters for your first night, and it even had scissors. I've never had scissors in a rental before, which means Steamboat Lodging Company has thought of everything. The grill on the patio was perfect. It was easy to light and it was super clean. The bedding and bed was super comfy. Again a compliment to Steamboat Lodging Company for having super soft sheets, lots of pillow choices, and amazing duvet covers with the perfect weight for the summer to keep you warm when it cools off at night. The condo also has AC, which is rare in Steamboat. It was very comfortable. I'm sure the fireplace was great too but it was 80 degrees outside and no fire was needed. The personalized service we received from Steamboat Lodging Company was exceptional. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing and recommended the best steakhouse called E3. It is out the front door of the condo complex and across the street. We ate outside on the patio by the river and we were so grateful they sent us there. The check in and out process was super easy and seamless. The communication was exceptional too. Thank you for making our 17th anniversary perfect. We can't wait to come back and stay with you all again. We are a customer for life!

Great location in the heart of downtown Steamboat

Perfect for what we needed. Only difficult part was finding the place but if you can find the restaurant, “Cypress” it is in the same building. Would stay here again.

Perfect!

We loved our accommodations and the location. Many amazing restaurants within walking distance and bus stop to ski area only 3 minutes walk. We stay in a lot of short term rentals and have never been so well attended to. The rental was very well equipped and even had nice pots and pans. We look forward to staying here again.

Autumn In Steamboat

This unit was cozy and comfortable with everything needed for a successful stay. The kitchen was especially well stocked and spacious. Howelsen Place is wonderfully located close to shops and restaurants as the downtown area and Yampa River Core Trail were the focus of our stay. The staff at Steamboat Lodging Co was very responsive when I called to ask about a malfunctioning gas fireplace and sent someone quickly to make the necessary adjustments that got it going. The staff also took note that our stay was in celebration of a birthday, and had left a nice gift bag for us to find!

Although it was well equipped and nicely located we would not rent this particular unit again because of the noise at night as several businesses emptied their trash. Clanging and banging at 11 pm and worse than that was the trash pickup in the morning at 6am

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at Howelsen Place. Location was great, the condo was spacious w really nice quality bedding and cookware, and we appreciated having a washer dryer in the unit w all of our ski gear. The unit was quiet and well appointed and we definitely would stay again!

Cozy

Had a lovely stay at the Howelsen A302 property. Just the right amount of space for 1-4 folks and all the items you could want/need. The garage is in a different building than the property but the directions were helpful in getting me to the right spot. Super clean and wonderful sheets and towels. Easy to walk anywhere in downtown Steamboat. Many thanks for hosting me!

Sweet Spot!

Location x 3! Downtown. Parking in the boat can be difficult, this unit includes an underground garage. Clean. Everything you need. Steamboat Lodging makes checking in easy. Hubby and I hope to stay there again!

Great location

Excellent location. A lot codes and instructions to get in, but once you figure it out it’s a great place. We liked being able to walk to restaurants, shopping, etc so we didn’t have to use our car. 4 stars because it definitely felt like it needed a good scrubbing and a few repairs. I’m sure that’s due to busy summer rental season. Great communication from the rental management- Steamboat Lodging- and will definitely rent from them in the future.

Great location

This was the perfect spot for our first family trip to Steamboat Springs. Nice amenities, including parking, and very comfortable. Directions to the building and instructions for getting into the room we're good. It's close to shops, restaurants, and allowed easy access to our various outings in the area, including horseback riding, hiking, and mountain biking at Steamboat Resort. Our son loved the pull out sofa, and the kitchen and in-unit laundry were super convenient. We had an after hours question and were able to connect with somebody right away. There was some occasional late night music seeping in from nearby restaurants/ bars, but not unexpected given the location.

Steamboat Springs Condo

This was our first time in Steamboat and the condo was located close to everything! Shopping,restaurants,walking trails. It was not on the main streets so not a lot of traffic noise. The condo was clean and had all the amenities! We especially enjoyed the personal touch when we arrived with an anniversary card with places to spend our special day! Great place and we will tell everyone to visit!!!

Downtown Steamboat Stay

We've rented through Steamboat Lodging several times and they never disappoint. The Howelsen apartment was comfortable, in a great location and had everything we needed. Steamboat Lodging is highly professional and attentive, provides lots of useful information for guests, and checks in with guests before and during their stays to make sure that everything is in order. Nice condo. We were there in May, so no need to have easy access to the ski area. Easy to walk to everything else. Nice trails around the Yampa River. And fabulous restaurants. The condo was clean and well appointed. No complaints.
