  • The Cabin is a peaceful property, surrounded by nature.

    The space
    If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway, look no further. As soon as you walk in this spacious cabin, you will experience a feeling of calm and peace. Located on a 20 acres lot, this cabin is surrounded by nature. There are plenty of rocking chairs on the porch to read, sip on coffee (included with your stay), or just sit and be. Wake up to the sounds of birds chirping in the distance, or sit at night on the porch, and enjoy the sounds of frogs, and watch as the deer walk by in a sea of fireflies. At night, there are millions of stars to observe. Eventually drift off to sleep and dream!

    Other things to note
    The cabin is located 25 minutes north east of Durham, 40 minutes north west of Wake Forest and 50 minutes north of downtown Raleigh.

    We don't have access to cable TV or a TV antenna, however the living room and loft TVs are equipped with ROKU devices with access to the cabin WiFi. The cabin now has high speed internet! There is also a DVD player in the living room and a library of movies and TV shows to select from. Puzzles, board games and books are also available during your stay.

    Cell phone signal can be spotty. The WiFi in the cabin can be selected to access full cell phone service. Prior to booking, be sure that your phone will accept this feature. The feature can be found in settings, called "WiFi calling".

    The property is located within 5 miles of 2 beautiful wedding venues making it a perfect place the the bride and groom, or family visiting from out of town.

    The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious home cooked meals.

    Maximum number of adult guests is six (6). Children under 6, please inquire.

    Please no pets, no parties, gatherings, conferences, celebrations or reunions allowed.

    This is a non smoking property.

    The Host can cancel your booking at any time if the house rules are violated.

    No wood is provided for the fireplace.

    Guests have access to the entire cabin, except for the garage and 2 closets.

    Exterior security cameras are located above the garage door, at the door bell, on the porch and in the backyard.

Perfect Getaway in a Quiet, Beautiful Setting

Our stay at this cabin in Stem, NC, was fantastic! The cabin is set back about a quarter-mile off the road, providing a peaceful and private retreat. The setting is quiet and serene, making it the perfect place to relax. Inside, the cabin is well-appointed with all the necessities for a comfortable stay. Everything was spotless, and all amenities were in great working order. It’s clear that the owners take great care of the property. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely plan a return trip. Highly recommend!

Family Time

This property is so homey and relaxing. This is the second time we have stayed here and it’s very clean, uncluttered and tastefully decorated. I really like the kitchen and the dishes are great and organized and makes it easy to cook a nice meal. The area is so quiet and serene we enjoy seeing deer and wildlife. We like the location with an easy drive to Oxford and Durham. Hope to be back again soon.

Wonderful family gathering house!

Having stayed at multiple rental properties from west to east coasts, we rank this place as one of the best. Clean, comfortable and so well outfitted for all the meals we shared. We explored the surrounding area and enjoyed multiple walking trails and the beautiful Duke botanical gardens. Our afternoon walking the grounds surrounding the house and rocking in the rocking chairs on the porch was our favorite day of all. We look forward to returning! Gorgeous getaway for the whole family

This was the perfect spot for our family to stay while in town for my niece’s wedding - so clean and comfortable. We loved preparing meals in the well-stocked and open kitchen. The main floor living room was spacious and full of entertainment options, while the additional TV room in the loft allowed the kids a fun space. The wrap-around porch was a bonus to take in the lovely property and we rested well during our stay. The host was very responsive to any questions we had and sent very detailed and helpful instructions. I’d absolutely recommend this rental to anyone staying in the area!

Absolutely Beautiful!

This cabin is absolutely beautiful and well stocked with quality cooking equipment and dishware. (that’s always a concern of mine when checking into a property) There’s plenty of counter space for prepping meals. The bedrooms are spacious and the hardwoods throughout are stunning. The property is tucked away down a gravel road, but you’re not far from other properties (that can sometimes feel scary). The location is perfect. Will definitely be staying again.

Quiet, cozy, cabin retreat

Loved this quaint little cabin off the beaten path. Perfect location for us and great place to relax and get away from it all. Found this in an area nearby to Creedmoor, where our daughter and her family lives. We look forward to coming back and staying here on our next visit! It is a ways back off the main road, but that ensures that no one will bother you and you won’t hear any traffic or congestion. The cabin’s interior is immaculate and the entire structure is well-built, modern, and stylish. The cabin looks rustic, but has all the modern conveniences and everything is provided. Overall, a great property and host that we hope to use again.

Great for Quiet Get Away

I stayed at this lovely cabin with 2 of my girlfriends. We wanted to stay somewhere close to home (Raleigh) but far enough removed to feel like we were escaping reality and definitely accomplished this with this cabin. We were easily able to stream a yoga class for ourselves in the spacious living room and the. Drive a short distance to Durham for several dinner choices. Overall we were super pleased and would definitely stay again! The only issue we encountered was how slick the stairs were and would have liked a railing on the wall side and a runner down the center.

Lovely cabin on 20 secluded acres

Absolutely the only listing close to where we needed it, so fit our needs well. Immaculate home with everything you could ever need throughout the spacious rooms, especially the kitchen. Worked really well for our unique situation. Only downside, which we laughed about a lot(!), the beds are very tall, the cupboards are tall, even the couches are suited for taller folks. Not a negative, just felt a bit like Goldilocks a few times. Full disclosure, I'm 5'4" so somewhat vertically challenged, but I'm guessing original builder was a tall one! Loved the house 99%.

Wedding weekend

This was the perfect house to stay in for a wedding in the area. Plenty of room with 3 bedrooms 2 1/2 baths and a loft den area too. The house was very-very clean and uncluttered. The kitchen was stocked with great pans and dishes. The atmosphere around the design and decor of the house and where it located in a quiet off the road area was so relaxing. We saw deer and lots of birds. The weather was great for sitting on the porch and looking at nature. Would stay here again for sure! The host was great to work with offering great directions and available for questions.

Into The Woods

Disney could not have orchestrated a more perfect experience. Que the Frogs and Birds. Butterflies, ready? Don't forget the Deer, all four families. If it's peace and tranquility you're looking for, look no further pilgrim, your search has ended. A nice additional touch are the red reflectors to guide you down the path home.
