Super 8 by Wyndham Salina/Scenic Hills Area

8/10 Good

"Waffles were great. We will stay again"

Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Ephraim

8/10 Good

"Very clean and nice hotel. My wife and I used the exercise room which meant that no one else could use it because ther are only two devices and a bench. I am guessing that the device above our bed is a smoke detector. The issue there is that it has a bright green light that flashes every few seconds. I had to put a bandaid over the light because it was waking me up. I am very tall so that was easy for me but a short person would have to live with the light. The room and hotel was very clean. I would stay there again."

Well-Appointed Sterling Casita with Full Kitchen!

8/10 Good

"This is a one bedroom open floorplan in a house next to another similar house in a tiny rural town on 89. The large back porch overlooks a flat canyon bottom used for agriculture. The view looks out on some agricultural storage, trees, and fences across the canyon. You can take a walk down in the canyon. In the evening I saw several deer. Farther down the canyon there's a spot with picnic tables and a fire ring, though I don't know who can use it. There's a gas insert in the corner fireplace that keeps the place warm enough. Also AC but we had no need of it in mid October. The kitchen has full size appliances and everything to cook with. The lighting is pretty dim, so I'd suggest a floor lamp if you want to read or like your lighting a little bright. We actually bought one at the WalMart in Ephraim. Manti and Ephraim are a few miles north, and Gunnison is a few miles south, but Sterling is too small for much except a convenience store. Palisades state park is nearby with a $15 entrance fee but the lake was almost nonexistent so we passed. There are giant LDS temples in Manti and Ephraim. If you want an extremely simple quiet place to spend some time this is it. The management made a good effort to dress the place up for Halloween, and overall the place has a Southwestern theme."

Rustic Sterling Cabin: Walk to Palisade Lake!

10/10 Excellent

"The house was perfect for a large group with a lot of kids. Lots of space to spread out and plenty of room in the kitchen to make meals and eat. The deck was great for outdoor seating as well. The host was great at communicating with us and making sure everything was taken care of."
