Spacious and beautiful 5400 sq. ft. cabin. Five fully furnished bedrooms with individual electric fireplaces. Also, a large loft room with two beds and night stand. One king size bed, four queen size beds, two full beds, multiple cots, and play pen. Comfortable great room with three sofas, two recliners and a wood fireplace. Large kitchen with island and dining room table. Kitchenette in basement with refrigerator, sink, and table. Playroom for children. Game room in basement with large flat screen tv, foosball table, and pellet stove. Patio with wood fireplace and 8 person jacuzzi. Deck on main level as well as top level, with beautiful views of the mountains and lake.

Wonderful Home away from Home

We spent a wonderful family reunion at this home- Beautiful in every way, just a 10 min. walk from the lake. Fully stocked kitchen, lots of space to spread out but spent most of our time in big open family room and kitchen. Host was very prompt in response. Enjoyed our time at this property!

Amazing Stay

The cabin was HUGE and beautiful. The pictures on the listing do not do it justice. Owner was exceptionally responsive to questions and an issue with a smoke alarm. We loved the location and spent hours on the Arapeen Trail, at the Palisade State Park Golf Course and at the Reservoir. An absolutly amazing location for a fantastic weekend.

NYE 2024!

We loved our Palisade stay for the hub of NYE fun! The description was accurate and fit our group perfectly. We had three couples with families of teens/young adults. We were surprised by all the elbow room! We loved the gathering space and large kitchen. The dining table was wonderfully large for eating & playing games with the group. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. The smoker on the covered deck was also a nice addition. Our teens/young adults loved the basement with the arcade game, pool table and tv! We had hoped for snow to go sledding for NYE but took a beautiful hike up 6 mile canyon instead. We found snow on a trail which our kids loved! The hottub was welcome after a day of hiking. We also loved the stroll around the lake each evening. Breath taking views and lots of solitude during this time of year! The only ones we shared the trails with were the deer and turkey. Thank you for sharing your beautiful vacation home with us, we’d love to come back!

Great Space and Location

We really enjoyed our stay here. It had plenty of sleeping space and gathering space, and was super close to Palisades State Park. It was wonderful to have a cool place to sleep and showers too use after a long day in the sun. The younger kids loved the Barbie room and play room. Cleanliness could have used a little work. Garbage cans were half full when we arrived. There were giant spiderwebs from the ceiling to the deer head above the fireplace, and in the stair case to the basement. The cutting board still had barbeque sauce and sesame seeds on it from a previous guest that I had to clean before using. Inside of the upstairs fridge was dirty. Downstairs freezer was full so we couldn't utilize that space. Bathrooms, bedrooms, sheets were all clean. The built in microwave doesn't work (door sensor error) and some of the smoke detectors were missing. The pricing is very misleading. Ended up costing us twice as much as the "average nightly cost" after all the cleaning fees and such were applied. And the beds are SUPER squeaky. No box springs on the beds in the basement, just 2x4s across the frames. It is a great space in a great, quiet neighborhood. It worked for what we needed. Thank you for sharing your property with us.

Lovely Spacious Cabin

The cabin is very big and roomy, we slept 12 with room to spare. The setting and views are lovely. The cabin has everything you could possibly need and so kid friendly. We loved it!

Beautiful cabin! Very spacious and clean! Better than we expected! We were in the town for my son’s wedding, so we weren’t at the cabin much. Mostly just to get ready and sleep. We will definitely be back again so that we can enjoy the amenities of the cabin and the surrounding area. Highly recommended!

Great place! Loved our stay.

We were looking for a place to be able to relax with our six adult children and very young grandchildren and have easy access to Palisades State Park/Reservoir. This was perfect: 7-8 minute walk to the reservoir (we brought a few bikes and electric scooters that made it a three minute commute). The home is very nice. We particularly liked the big spacious main room and a very large table.

Cousins ATV trip

Had another great trip to The Gathering Place with family and friends from UT, AZ, CO, NJ, and VA. Everyone loved the cabin, enjoyed their own rooms, and had fun cooking and hanging out together. The location at the base of Six Mile canyon provided easy access to Skyline Drive and Mayfield canyon. We rode 120+ miles in 2 days. Everyone can't wait to plan the next trip!

Fantastic and spacious!

We loved staying here for our family reunion! We had 8 adults and 7 children, and there was plenty of room for all. Everything we needed was provided. There was a great kid cave - we set up 3 cots and sleeping bags (provided) and turned it into a "man cave" for the 3 boy cousins. Hot tub, game room, TV (which we hardly used because there was so much else to do). Huge open kitchen/dining/family room area. Walking distance to the lake/golf course. ATV trail close by. Owner was very helpful and easy to work with.

Amazing Cabin

Beautiful cabin. Large and spacious with plenty of comfy seating and lots of toys for entertaining little ones. We loved seeing all of the deer that visited the yard in the evenings. Loved our stay here.

YOU WILL LOVE IT!

This cabin was the perfect setting for our Thanksgiving weekend. The upstairs loft gave the grandkids space to play away from the adults while the adults visited on the main level. The cabin is within easy walking distance of the lake and the golf course, with plenty of trails to hike on the mountain side. The sunsets were amazing! Plenty of sleeping space and 3 decks to relax on. You can’t go wrong with this cabin!

Great Escape

Comfortable and clean

This place was very clean and beds very comfortable. It actually has beds for 18 people. Loved master on main floor just with queen bed, wish was king bed. Loved washer dryer in closet of master. Another laundry room in basement. Should have pics of master as is very spacious. A chair in there would be suggested. There is one other bedroom on main floor with queen bed as well as another full bath. On bottom floor has two more bedrooms with queen in one and queen with set of bunk beds in other. Has kitchenette in basement with another fridge that came in handy and table that was great for grandkids to do crafts and games. On top floor is loft that actually has two bedrooms one has king bed in it and other that they call kids cove has set of two bunk beds and is where some toys for kids as well as a large tv. In foyer of loft is the two full beds. There is also another full bath up there. The deck has a nice grill and smoker we did not know was there. Also a table with a gas fire in middle we never used but would be fun for cooler evenings View is spectacular and lots of parking for ATV, s and wave runners we had and used at Yuba lake. Which was fun place cause now you can drive right to edge of lake with vehicles that made it so easy to unload picnic and water toys. We also enjoyed trails near cabin. The palisades Lake is small but can use paddle boards and canoes and non motor stuff. Is very low this year but still we’re able to use. We would go back again. This place is nicer then shows and not enough pics to show that. Great place.

Fun with family in nice setting
