Shellrock Cabin with Columbia River View

Hello and welcome to Shellrock Cabin, part of the Nelson Creek Cabin vacation rentals! Our cozy cabins are nestled on 2 quiet acres with views of the Columbia River and surrounding Cascade mountains. Skamania Lodge, Bridge of the Gods, Mt. Hood, Dog Mountain, Multnomah Falls, White Salmon, Hood River and Portland are just a few close destinations. Plenty of parking for boats and RV's. Shellrock cabin is a cozy and comfortable place where you can escape, relax and unwind in this beautiful setting. Within a few miles, you will find golf courses, brew pubs, restaurants, farmer's markets, shops, waterfalls, wineries, kite boarding, wind surfing, stand up paddling, sailing, kayaking, hiking, fishing, and numerous other recreational adventures. Portland and its airport is a easy 45 minute drive. Enjoy the Columbia Gorge Interpretative Center, Maple Leaf Events, Blues and Bluegrass weekend festivals, Skamania County Fair, local parks, Beacon RockState Park, Maryhill, White Salmon, and Hood River Wineries.

Best little hideaway

Love this property it is so close to Hood river and Stevenson.... Hiking and good food.... The house is the best for 2 people... small and cozy.... VERY CLEAN.

We were out in the area for a short time. Cabin was great. Perfect for our needs. Close to many trails and in between 2 towns. Nice view. Hosts were awesome, left us snacks. I would stay again, but it is a small, 3 peeps is too many perfect for 2.

Can't beat The Gorge!

My husband and I had a relaxing stay at the Shellrock Cabin in Stevenson. The location is amazing - convenient to Stevenson, White Salmon/Bingen, Hood River and the valley, Cascade Locks, as well as Camas and Vancouver. It was quiet and peaceful, and the property is exactly as advertised. Libby was helpful and went beyond expectations in accommodating a special request.

Charming cabin

This cabin is clean, comfortable, and exactly enough for a quiet getaway, looking at the cliffs across the river, or if the weather permits, sitting on the porch or in the adjoining patio. The pictures are accurate. It's in a great location for exploring this section of the Columbia Gorge, both sides of the river. I'd gladly stay here again.

Relaxing weekend

The cabin was so nice and clean and very updated. We enjoyed the outside patio but really liked sitting out on the front porch because one evening we saw some deer. The view of the Gorge is breathtaking! Libby and Craig are wonderful hosts. We will definitely be back!

The cabin was great! Everything we needed for a quick escape to come back to each other. Thanks for the little touches that made this stay unique- chocolates on night stand,coffee, snacks and a personalized note. We will definitely come back to the king size comfy bed and the beautiful view!

What a wonderful vacation!!!!

The cabin had everything we needed! The bed was so comfortable and we enjoyed watching TV in the evening sitting in the Recliners. We would go out exploring during the day and we couldn’t wait to get (home). Lol We are looking for a place to retire and we have a really good feeling about Stevenson! Thanks for all you do and we will come stay again real soon!

The Best of the Best

The cabin was clean and cozy! We were impressed with the thought that went into our visit the moment we walked through the door. So many personal little touches. The bed and pillow were comfortable. The view was fabulous with what seemed like the scheduled viewing of wildlife. Our favorite stay during our vacation.

Fantastic

The cabin was great. Very clean and comfortable! The view from the porch was just beautiful. The only trouble we had was finding hiking trails and waterfalls. It seems Washington State doesn’t like to use signs. I will recommend this cabin every time. Thanks again.

Relaxing and Rejuvinating

Shellrock Cabin is a terrific, compact and cozy place to stay, unwind and enjoy some downtime. We appreciated the many thoughtful amenities that our hosts, Libby and Craig provided. We also enjoyed not having highly scented products as we both suffer from respiratory allergies. The view was delightful and our day trips were within reach without spending all day behind the wheel. We will return.

Perfect little cabin

What an excellent little place! We enjoyed every aspect. The view is amazing! We picked up some fresh Chinook salmon and grilled out one night and just took it all in. The cabin itself is so comfortable. So many windows to let that fresh air in, great little lounger couch to relax and watch a movie and we slept so well both nights. I don’t have one negative thing to say. Thank you.

Cabin and property were absolutely beautiful. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates, cups and everything else. The fridge had some condiments and coffee creamer and the host also left us some waters and snacks along with a welcome card. The small town of Stevenson is a short 5 minute drive with a couple restaurants, grocery store, coffee spots and more. Would highly recommend for couples looking to get out of the city or hustle and bustle of everyday life for a quaint stay and fresh air. We'll definitely be back.

Shell Rock cabin stay

Lovely stay at your cabin, very comfortable and clean. Bed was great for sleeping. We spent our days exploring the area. Not many places to eat in Stevenson but many in surrounding areas. There is a local grocery so we packed lunch’s and then found different restaurants for evening meal. Would have been nice to have a little cooler available but we were able to buy one at local hardware. That was a small detail considering how well your home was supplied with everything. Columbia Gorge is such a beautiful area! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Morning sunrise’s were gorgeous from your cabin!
