"The hotel itself is GORGEOUS! The grounds, the restaurants and bars, the room. However… you ask about breakfast. Being that the Drake is a luxury hotel that is not inexpensive, it would be nice if they would provide SOME type of complimentary breakfast to its guests. Maybe not buffet style but at LEAST continental with coffee and tea. We rented a King Junior Suite and had to go elsewhere for breakfast. The Colonial doesn’t have much variety. Next… the water pressure in the bathroom sink was so annoying that we literally wanted to wash our hands in the shower. It was like a stream of hot water. Cold water pressure was ok. And it took 3 hours to get hot. Lastly… the tv is so far from the bed and is not big enough to be that far. But all in all, we enjoyed the beautiful room and all of the staff were so helpful and sweet. Just some constructive criticism. Thank you! "

"We stayed at the Carleton Motel. We stayed there because we saw so many people said everything was so wonderful. I think they must have been referring only to the Hotel. The Motel owned by the Carleton really needs updating. Our room was ok but it smelled musty and it just looked like it needed updating. I really felt like I paid too much for the room that we rented for the condition that it was in."

"The room was fine but it was most annoying to have the soap gel and shampoo in the shower be empty. To add insult, the pen I used to leave a note about it ran out of ink!!"

"The place was very cut and clean. The property manager was responsive and friendly. And they left snacks which was very much appreciated. But we did have a few small issues.One is that we could hear a lot of what was going on in the place upstairs in the evening. We could hear them talking, and the TV show they were watching, which had something loud that sounded like shooting scenes. Luckily this didn't last long. My kids were also being a bit loud, and I was worried they could hear us as well. Two is that it was a little too cold in there during the day (in March). You cannot control your own temperature. The manager said they would ask the people upstairs to turn it up, but that they always left it at 75 degrees. (I think to indicate they already had it up pretty high). Which led me to believe that there is not a split system, where the bottom level can be a different temperature than the top. So even though it may well be much warmer in the higher level of the house, the bottom definitely was not feeling like 75. So that is frustrating because I am sure the folks upstairs don't want to alter their own temperature either. And three, there was not a plug-in in the bathroom. Maybe I missed it, but I looked everywhere. I curled my hair in another room instead. Not a huge deal, but maybe worth noting for some people. "
