"The house is absolutely wonderful. It is clean, with plenty of space to enjoy family or friends. The house has a well-stocked kitchen making it easy to prepare meals. There are plenty of dishes, pots pans and cooking utensils. There is an assortment of spices to select from and a nice coffee pot Kurek combination as well. The house has a full-size refrigerator with an ice maker and a newer washing machine and dryer. We went to the HEB store and purchased food to prepare during our stay. We had everything we needed to have a quiet weekend as a family. Food, internet, TV, and a great space to be together. With the heat and humidity, we spent most of our time indoors enjoying the air-conditioning. We were in Texas to spend quality time with our soldier for the long weekend. The house is located a short distance from Fort Hood. It has located a little off the main roads in a very quiet, well-kept neighborhood. It was a perfect place to just hang out, enjoy the resident deer and squirrels providing a perfect place for our soldiers to just rest and spend time with family. The house is close to a large lake if that is something someone is interested in. If weather permits it looks like it is a good area to take morning or evening walks. The area does have a lot of deer. We enjoyed watching them. The baby deer are very cute."

"All the rooms were nice and clean with great open space to move around. The bedding blankets in the bunk room were the best hands down, so soft and light. The host was quick to respond back within minutes and always kept us informed with cleaners stopping by. The hot tub and pool were a huge plus especially traveling with the kids. The pool waterfall never worked, but we also didnt try to find the switch. The foosball table was a huge hit with tons of play time at night between the kids and adults. The trail to the lake behind the house really needs to be cleaned up and cleared out a bit. Thorns were becoming overgrown and bushes were out of control to get by. The view to the lake is priceless and worth the 4 minute hike to get there. Back porch area is the best, at night you can hear the animals get close to the ledge where your chairs are sitting. Be careful though because there is a wasp nest in between the pillars and we had to move a few times as to not get stung. The sink clogged up a few times and the plunger on hand isn't the greatest, very flimsy and annoying to constantly readjust. No can opener available, I searched every drawer and cabinet, so be sure to bring your own or hopefully the host will add one to the kitchen. Plenty of dishes, pots and pans as well as seasoning. More silverware would be nice, aluminum foil for grill would also be a plus and storage containers or ziploc bags added. All in all, location was great and the house was perfect for our stay."

"We had a group of 12 that stayed Wed -Sun. Things we appreciated: the 2nd fridge, the 3 bedrooms downstairs all had en-suite bathrooms, the privacy in the backyard, the amount of seating in the backyard, the instructional videos provided, the large living area, the 4 car garage, the quiet neighborhood, nearby grocery stores and the FULLY stocked house. Shampoo, conditioner & body wash was provided in every shower, swim towels are available, a lovely coffee bar, and even popcorn & treats in the media room. 2 rolls of TP in each bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels, 6 dishwasher pods, 4 pods for the washing machine, plenty of dryer sheets, approx 6 kitchen trash bags, hand soap, dish soap and a new dish sponge. The main fridge has a small ice maker, so have bags of ice on hand. The 2nd fridge does not have an ice maker. On Friday, we had 2 incidents where the sprinklers went off, on either side of the backyard, for the septic tank. The odor was so bad, that we would all go running inside. It happened again 3 times on Saturday. I re-read all the VRBO reviews and no one else had reported it, so I assumed that it had not happened for any other guests. It was reported to the owner. Sadly, the overarching memory from this trip will be the sewage smell while we were outside"

"I received a code for the door which was incorrect. It took about 2 hours to get a response and the correct code. The kitchen cabinets need to be updated. The couch was very dirty. The house was clean. If I really had to put emphasis on one thing in would be the couch!"
