"Lovely place, plenty of space. Quick responses from host. Only thing was it was very hot and there is no AC (as many places in that area don’t), fans weren’t enough to cool the place down so it was a little uncomfortable trying to sleep. However, still a great place to stay, would recommend."

"I thought our room was lovely. But remember when booking this lodge they DO NOT have air conditioning!!! We were placed on a second floor so it was super HOT and our screen door was broken so we couldn't get cool air in. I went to the desk and the clerk was very good to us. He got our room switched and grabbed and extra fan to cool the space more until the cool evening air cooled off the room. We were only passing through, but it appeared to have lots of activities for people to do. It really depends on what experience you are looking for. It is in the process of being updated. Like I said the room was nice. Cozy blanket and pillows. Grateful to the young man who fixed our room issue!"

"Elk Meadows was an absolute gem. The house is beautiful and stocked with everything we needed — we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The real magic, though, was waking up to elk grazing in the meadow each morning and watching them again at dusk. One of the best-view rentals we’ve stayed in over the past few years. Perfect base for exploring Chama. Highly recommend!"
