"It did not look like the pictures. The pictures showed it to be modern, bright and cheerful. It was not. The pots still had grease on them. No coffee pot. No coffee or tea provided or shampoo or shower gel. It was supposed to be near airport. It was not. It was supposed to have free airport shuttle. It did not. The immediate area was full of graffiti. The backyard was unkempt. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. "

A modern hotel with a swimming pool, surrounded by lush greenery and a mountainous backdrop.

Hotel Salona Palace

Solin

10/10 Excellent

The room was huge, but I booked the largest, everything was perfect. You need a car to stay here IF you want to go to Trogir and Split, although there are busses. The restaurant was excellent, but do NOT order the steak. Lamb was awesome. People friendly. The pool is NT heated, so it was cold for mid-September. There is a boulangerie across the street and a supermarket, so you can get all you need there, the Salona Roman Ruins are easy to access, but not really that great, we strolled through...

Hotel batuda

Brda

10/10 Excellent

The place opened the day we got there, so it looked very clean and smelt a little like ikea. The beds are comfortable, I found it a little strange that the double bed came with two single bed covers. The free breakfast is fine, I think would be ideal if they pushed it out to 10am finish rather than 9:30. It was a little far from the old town, and public transport isn’t amazing. We got Uber taxi’s at they cost between 6-10 per trip

Hotel Eden

Strožanac

10/10 Excellent

We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Eden. The hotel staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful from the excellent receptionists, to the cleaning ladies and also to the Bar Manager who was overly fond of Richard Claderman! The 3 towns of Trodgir, Split and Omis were all within 30 minutes to an hour from the hotel. The public bus service is excellent. All three towns are stuffed with good shopping, plenty of great places to eat and interesting places to visit. Overall, a great region to...

Hotel President Solin

Solin

8/10 Good

I surprised that in place like Solin exist hotel like President. The hotel unfortunatelly does not deserve the 5 star because there is room for improvement. The breakfast should be richer and more varied, as should the cleanliness of the hotel. It is unacceptable that the door frames are damaged and that the shutters can not be fully closed. The staff is extremelly kind, but keep in mind that this is the south of Croatia, and everything is slower than in the north.
