I found the room comfortable, clean and quiet, the location so convenient and close enough to make most of central Stockholm within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the cost was very respectable.

Excellent property! First time staying in a hostel and solo travelling and felt super safe! I had a private single room with no window. It was clean and had everything that I needed!

Room as described-
i was aware of my room not having windows, and was ok with it, but once we stayed in it have realised i don't think i like windowless rooms- was a bit too enclosed- but comfortable and affordable for what it was needed for.

Skanstull Hostel
I stayed 4 nights in a private room. Everything was very clean and nice. The bathrooms are particularly good. Kitchen is excellent as well. Everything is really nicely decorated which helps give it all a cozy feel. The little room I had was well equipped, it even had a TV! Great location too - right in the middle of SoFo and only a short walk to Gamla Stan. Only thing I would say is that reception isn’t open very often. This wasn’t a problem at all for the private room (and they have a very good system for check in when reception is closed). But, this would probably put me off staying in one of the dorms with no one on hand to deal with more disruptive individuals.

Great for a short stay
Spent a couple of nights at the hostel, since I was only in Stockholm for a concert at the Tele2 Arena. The location is great, really close to an underground station. Room was small but comfortable. Toilets were a bit smelly but other than that, everything was ok.

Great hostel in Stockholm
Loved this hostel. Friendly staff, clean and well designed bathrooms, beds were super comfortable and soft and nice lockers and plugs by the bed. I stayed In the mixed dorm and would definitely stay again!

Cozy and quiet
Very quiet and cozy place. Single room was tiny but just enough. Everything clean and in good condition. The rooms seems very sound proof, I hardly noticed there were other guests outside.

I definitely enjoyed my stay here! Definitely will recommend for those without much preferences. Bedroom and toilets were really clean upon arrival, although we had to lay our bed linens ourselves on top of the additional charges for change of towels/linens. It wasn't too cold/warm in the room, and every room had some sort of fan in it. A plus for me was the communal kitchen with free pasta and coffee, and everyone living here + the staffs did a great job in keeping our shared space clean and tidy!

Clean and convenient!
Great hostel in a walkable location. My first night was awful as I got a top bunk that was in the doorway with a cement block above - meaning I hit my head a few times. I asked to change as I was staying another 3 nights and the staff were great and put me in a bottom bed (which was actually the prime one in the room) Clean hostel, good kitchen, helpful staff!

Very nice budget option in Stockholm
The Skanstulls Hostel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good with plentiful options and so was the Vietnamese coffee. The location was also quite good, only a couple of blocks from the subway station and within walking distance from the port. There also quite many ethnic restaurants as well as supermarkets and bakeries within a few blocks.

Lovely place
Always a lovely place to stay but I'm in my 40s now and I can't afford to lose the little sleep I get compromising my needs to get affordable accommodation. It's good value for money but seems I must part with more money to get the peace of mind I need at my age.

The property is very close to a train station, and in general, if you like walking a lot, it won’t be an issue walking to most of the key places and attractions. The staff are incredibly friendly and the check in/check out/leaving the place at night is very easy. The room where we stayed was really pretty, with minor imperfections, such as the soap dispenser slightly broken or a small hair hanging from it. I personally don’t care too much about things like that. Overall very pleased with the stay apart from one thing that I was afraid of - the kitchen is shared and I was worried that something would happen to the food we’d store in the fridge. However, everyone who used the kitchen seemed to clean up after themselves and follow the general rules, so we decided to keep our food there anyway. We marked it with our name and date of check out and packed some of it for the day we were leaving. When we came to the kitchen at 6am, we couldn’t find some of our food that we bought the night before and then it was found in the bin. So that was really sad - it was perfectly good (and, in fact, expensive) food, with a date marked exactly the same way as our other items, yet someone decided to bin it. That kind of ruined the day.

Upon arrival the resceptionsit was extremely rude un helpful with reagrds to sorting out alternative arrangements. The last thing anybody needs in a foreign country is to be without accommodation! And i was in that position on the day of arrival. I do not recommend anyone to book with this hostel as you will be very disappointed

Enjoyed our second room. Decoration was nice, away from most rooms so had a buffer zone. Had all facilities we needed. Location was good.

Good experience. Was easy to find from the airport and easy access to the metro. Quick train ride to Gamla stan. Staff was friendly, kitchen was very well equipped. Grocery store across the street, and plenty of restaurants nearby. Rooms are sound proofed well and never had to wait on the washrooms or shower. Would stay again, and would recommend to others.

After hours check in didn't work for me. I had to find alternative accommodation in the middle of the night. Other hostels send after hours check in codes at time of booking or 48 hours in advance. This system would work better. Other than check-in goofup the hostel is great. Well kept, very pretty and stylish, helpful staff at reception

Best hostel!
I’ve been to a few hostels in my time and Skanstull definitely is in the top. I like their kitchen and social spaces - with wifi speed so strong who needs to leave elsewhere??

Excellent Swedish Hostel
I really enjoyed it. It is always hard to find a nice plave to stay in a foreign city abd almost expected to stand hard conditions to save money bit I was amazingly surprised and extremely happy of my stay in this hostel.

Great hostel
The bed was very comfortable and facilities were really good. Showers are fantastic. Conveniently located near train and bus stops. 10 minutes to the city centre (30 minutes walk) by train. Lots of food options close by, as well as, supermarkets.

Nice hostel in cool area of Stockholm
This hostel is comfortable and has all the amenities you need for your stay in Stockholm! It's super close to a metro stop and is near many restaurants, cafes and grocery stores. It's also easy to walk to the old town from the hostel. Would definitely stay here again!
