Apartment No. 53, "Hofmaler," is located in one of the historic servants’ quarters in the west wing of Stolpe Castle, facing the lagoon on the south side and featuring a south-facing terrace; it accommodates 2–6 people. The upper floor has two bedrooms, each with a comfortable double bed and two single beds. The large, cosy sofa on the ground floor can be converted into a bed for two additional guests. The ground floor, with a terrace overlooking the castle park, features a large dining area, a fully equipped, separate kitchen (including a dishwasher),a guest bathroom, and a “ Abstellraum.Im ” In the upper part of the house is the spacious bathroom with a double sink, shower, and toilet, as well as a hair dryer and a makeup mirror. A guest bathroom is located on the ground floor. Additional amenities include a flat-screen TV, radio, DVD/Blu-ray player, and Wi-Fi. The windows of this apartment are fully equipped with mosquito screens. A parking space is vorhanden.In 50 metres away, you’ll find the Remise restaurant and the bakery across the street.<br><br><br><br>The west wing was built as part of renovations that gave the Stolpe manor house its castle-like character, thus transforming it into Stolpe Castle. The originally rectangular manor house was expanded to include three towers on the initiative of Friedrich Count von Schwerin and his wife, Countess Freda. It was expanded towards the west. The addition, completed in 1905 and featuring a beautiful colonnade, housed guest rooms as well as servants’ quarters and ~houses.Largely spared from wartime destruction, the castle was not well-regarded by the new ruling elites after 1945 gesehen.So, the central section was completely demolished in 1949 to provide building materials for other structures. This created the gap between the castle and the west wing that still exists today. According to guidelines from the historic preservation office, it is not possible to reconnect the castle and the west wing. In 2015, extensive renovation work on the now-isolated west wing was completed.The former guest rooms, apartments, and servants’ quarters have since been transformed into comfortable, modern, and lovingly and individually furnished holiday apartments.
