Beautiful property, wonderful area!
We were a group of 8 women and had absolutely everything we needed. It is a stunning house and the surrounding lake-filled area is beautiful. We had perfect hiking on the nearby Little Siss trails. Since it was April, we didn't go out onto the lake but plan to next time we stay:)

Wonderful Historic Get-Away
We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, as soon as you walked it and smelled that wood burning fireplace smell and saw the old log beams, you knew you were somewhere special! The location was amazing, close to town, but felt remote out there on the peninsula. Lots to do at the house, or spend your time reading and relaxing- it has it all! The views from the kitchen were my favorite, every room had an amazing view though! Would 10/10 stay here again!

Great Family Getaway
Beautiful property surrounded by lake views. We enjoyed our family time playing games/ping pong/pool, watching movies (Cinderella Man!) & cooking. Beds were comfortable, showers were hot & kitchen well stocked with pots, pans, dishware and utensils. Enjoyed a yummy dinner at Pine Ridge (7 min drive). Hoping to come back in the warmer months to enjoy the lake.

Great Christmas weekend spent at Boulder Lodge!
Everything we could of possibly wanted or needed was at this cabin. An assortment of activities kept the whole family entertained and we couldn't have chosen a better getaway for Christmas! Christmas dinner was very close and left everyone stuffed. A great experience and many memories were made. Look forward to possibly returning in the coming years.

Fantastic Fall Family Retreat
We were a group of 11; adults, teenagers and a preschooler. Beautiful location for fall colors and outdoor activities. The lodge was wonderful and had something for everyone. The history of the lodge is an incredible story and preserves all the cabin comforts. The experience exceeded our expectations and we would love to come back.

Lots and lots of steps to access the front door and the firepit area. This was unexpected based on property description. Furniture cushions were not not very clean. Rafters and light fixtures needed a good cleaning. The property and home were beautiful, fishing was great, and we did enjoy our stay. Not recommended if making it up and down steps is even a small challenge for you.

This review is overstated and a bit unfair. Regarding the steps to access the front door, there are a total of 14 steps to get there. From the nearest parking space, you will have one step to a landing, nine steps, another landing, and an additional 4 steps to the front door. We do have a picture posted online with a side view of the cabin which displays the stairwell going up to the front door. Boulder Lodge is a gorgeous, over hundred-year-old property, and is a well-maintained historic cabin – you will absolutely love the cabin, and will enjoy the peace and tranquility the surroundings have to offer.

Lovely up north experience!
We loved our stay at Boulder Lodge! The lodge is absolutely beautiful, exuding that old fashioned "up north" feel, while still providing every modern convenience you'd need. The hosts were easily accessible and great to work with. Would highly recommend!

Peaceful week at the lake
We had a wonderful week at the lodge. It was clean and well equipped. It had everything we needed. The kids loved the pool table. The fishing was great. My nephew caught his first Muskie which he was VERY excited about. The property and lake was quiet and serene, very relaxing. Both docks require a number of steps to get down to them. The area designated as the beach area wasn’t really useable when were there because of goose poop. We had a lily pad and some other large floaties we tied off at the end of the dock and it made the perfect swimming area!

Incredible Northwoods getaway
What an amazing experience our family had… we had 6 adults and 5 kids (age ranges 4-15) and we have some unforgettable memories of our time at Boulder Lodge. Our young boys loved catching bluegill off the dock & my teenage nieces had an incredible time tubing around the lake. My early morning coffee enjoyed from the kitchen overlooking the tall trees above the lake was something I’ll always remember. And the LOONS! What an amazing soundtrack to some breathtaking scenery. Highly recommend this historic and beautiful property!

Unique and fun as advertised
We had a wonderful time with our family enjoying ice fishing and all of the games downstairs. Cabin was beautifully updated. Only suggestion for improvement would be a new dishwasher. This one just doesn’t get the dishes clean. Other than that our stay was all we could hope for.

The lodge worked perfect for our group that was skiing in the Korte and Birkie. Scott and Dea were quick to respond to questions and the property had everything we needed for a multi family trip. We absolutely loved the setting on the peninsula. Several in our group snowshoed on the lake and nearby island. We can't wait for next year when we get to come back and do it again!

Winter getaway
Beautiful old lodge in secluded setting for 11 of us and 2 pets. Great winter views of forest and crappies biting through the ice. Plenty of space we needed for our group. We encountered some dripping from the ceiling in one bedroom from ice dams on roof, but owner responded quickly to have a crew clear this the next morning. Would love to return for a summer vacation.

Great getaway in the north woods
We chose this lodge for our yearly family trip and were not disappointed. The grandkids had a fun time catching fish off the docks and we rented a pontoon from one of the local rentals. Campfires were a hit, our dog enjoyed all the new smells and the weather couldnt have been better. We recommend this lodge to anyone looking to get away from it all.

Amazing cabin for a family getaway.
We loved this rental. It was perfect for what we needed for our family. The bedrooms were spacious and the living room was huge, a great place to gather and let all the kiddos play. It also had tons of space outside and being on a peninsula gave us lake views from every direction. The owners were super quick to respond with any questions we had as well. Would highly recommend.

Came with our whole family of 5 grandchildren and had a great time. The lake is very pretty, we actually caught some nice bass, and lots of smaller sunnies. Plenty of towels, well equipped kithchen, lots of space. We would recommend this place.

Quiet, Serene, and Beautiful
My family enjoyed staying at Boulder Lodge. The lake is pristine and the kids had fun swimming, kayaking, and fishing off the dock. The lake is quiet and and serene, not much boat traffic. The cabin/lodge was clean and has a lot of history. Nothing but good things about this place. We will definitely be back at some point. If you are looking for a place with cell phone reception and high speed internet this is not the place for you. It was so great for the kids and us to unplug :) Thanks Scott and Dea!

Fantastic Place
We loved both the cabin and the lake. The cabin easily fit my large family, had an nice area outside to play yard games and the fire pit was perfect! Excellent bass fishing and a nice quiet lake to boat around. Highly recommend this cabin!

Amazing place - indoors and out!
Boulder Lodge is a large, comfortable place with plenty of elbow room for a large group. The history of the lodge and its ties to boxing is unique and fun! The property is beautiful! The lake provided us with opportunities to spend a winter weekend outside - ice fishing, snowshoeing, and enjoying Mother Nature.

It was a perfect size for our group of 8. Beautiful view of lake, places to walk and close to many of the places we went. The only thing that made it tough for puzzles and board games was the dark lighting throughout the house (except kitchen area). Overall we had a wonderful long weekend at the property.

Absolutely amazing - already planning our next trip
This property was absolutely amazing. Inside, the “great room” was awesome for getting everyone together. The dinner table was big enough to fit our group of 9 with plenty of space leftover. The kitchen was a nice cozy little nook. The beds and sheets were amazingly cozy and soft. And the game room in the basement was a lot of fun. The outside property feels like you’re on an island, surrounded almost completely by water. It was a fun feeling. There was enough room in the side yard to play soccer and football with our kids. And you get some gorgeous sunsets/sunrises.

We returned to Boulder Lodge for the second year, and this time were able to host more extended family (2020 was, you know... COVID). The five distinct sleeping areas are such a benefit. We were welcomed by wildflowers on the kitchen table and perfect weather on beloved Little Siss.

A beautiful spacious lodge with scenic views over the lake that are hard to beat.
Anyone would love this lodge, our family certainly did. If you have your own boat, I would definitely bring it since they have a private landing and the lake looks like it would be great to explore. One of the best places we've ever stayed at!

5 Stars but...
Noticed the cleaning people had the door open when we arrived and were battling flys the whole weekend. Need a fly swatter or two. Also the oven seemed to need regulating. Took a while to heat up and didn't seem to be the temperature that was displayed. She had to turn it up above the recipe directions and leave the dish in longer, according to my wife. Liked the new chairs by the firepit. Liked the upgrade on the rowboats. It is such a beautiful lake it would be nice to have a canoe too. We'll be back next year.

Summer Family Get Together!
Awesome week at Stone Lake! The cabin is beautiful as advertised! With 11 of us, we had more than enough room for family dinners and games, but also enough space for alone time when needed! We had a bags tourney on the side lot, played many competitive ping pong games, and loved our time around the campfire! Our fishermen loved the 2 separate docks on the property, and the fish cleaning station worked out great! We rented a pontoon for some great fishing and really just fell in love with the wondrous beauty of the property and surrounding areas! Thanks so much for a great stay!
