Elmore Trip!
The house was very comfortable and the views of Mount Mansfield were incredible. It was an easy drive to Stowe restaurants and other amenities in the area. We would definitely stay here again.

House with a view
A beautiful view great room with amazing views! One major issue was day before I was heading up, owner reached out to confirm amount of people….the ad says sleeps up to 17 - so when I had only 12, I thought, no problem! However, because in my initial request I put 8 people months prior, he charged me 100 extra for each additional person! Because the vacation started the next day, I really had no choice but to pay. In all my years renting on VRBO, I’ve never had to pay extra for people, so long as I don’t go over the limit on the ad! Buyer beware! A few things could be added in kitchen to make it more rental friendly - it’s pretty sparse in glass ware, etc. also, road leading up to house is a challenge in bad weather…we left in a snow storm and roads were not treated. Garbage was major issue on arrival….dozen or so old garbage bags in garage. Owner did have someone come clear it out once I let him know. Also, kids bedrooms were smaller than pictures reveal. Tight for teenagers, fine for toddlers.

A must stay for dog friendly ski houses!
We had such a great time staying at this property! Close to town and not too far from the mountain. The dogs loved how big and remote the property was and the view was incredible. The house was way better than some of the pictures posted. Michael was a great host and responded very fast. We would definitely stay here again!

Listed as the TOP of the world, felt like the BOTTOM!
Listed as top of the world, felt like the BOTTOM. Please be sure to list, take pictures & send to host EVERY problem you find or you will be blamed & charged for it. The house is huge, beautiful & has so much potential but is completely outdated & not kept up when things break, which we thought this host would be aware of since he owns the house. The listing is NOT updated, the pictures must be from years ago. False advertising all around. The amazing jacuzzi in the master bath did not even turn on, the dishwasher did not work, the handle on the kitchen sink was so wiggly you couldn’t turn it on & off (WE TIGHTENED IT FOR THE HOST), the door to the outside didn’t lock, there were beat up walls everywhere (we got blamed for KIDS handprints & the hot tub being left dirty from kids being in it, we did NOT travel with KIDS, our group was only adults) there are burn holes in the worn down couch, missing lamp shades, the blind in the master bedroom was hanging off on one side when we arrived & WE got charged for this “broken” blind when the host told us he slid it back on the track & it was fixed easily this way & would return our money if that was the case, NO money returned & again he said it was from a KID pulling on it. We were told we lost a strap on the hot tub that was NEVER there when we arrived & that we did not leave furniture as it was when we spent all morning cleaning the house to leave it JUST as we found it like we were told to do in the threatening LONG message we received from the host before our stay. That’s not all, we knew a snow storm was coming, asked the host about plowing, he did not tell us where to move our cars, just plowed us in & angrily told us we should have gotten up early to move our cars. Lastly, the cherry on top was that the house was absolutely infested with Japanese lady bugs. We were going to bring our dogs, good thing we did not because these are poisonous to animals! We did not complain once to this host, but now we know that we should have contacted him with EVERY single thing to prevent him wrongly blaming & charging us in the end. VERY unhappy.

Getaway review
This is a beautiful property that was very well stocked. There were a couple issues early on but that didn’t detract from the experience at all because of how responsive Michael was as a host. We would definitely stay again—hopefully not on a rainy weekend so we can take advantage of the outdoor space as well!

Covid 19 Get Away with pod
We had a wonderful time in Elmore. The home is situated outside of Stowe, Vermont, high on a hill with long views of the Green Mountains and Mt. Mansfield. It was a good home base for our outdoor activities. Close to great skiing ( Stowe and x-country) as well as numerous hiking and snow showing options. Due to corona virus we could not take advantage of all the restaurant, bar and shopping options of this beautiful area. But it allowed us to get away safely. The home itself, is big with more sleeping options than we needed. The owner was very responsive to our requests when there were essential items missing.

This is an amazing home. I highly recommend! To be honest, I think the house is actually nicer than it looks in the listing. Additionally, Michael was extremely helpful and responsive whenever we had a question. I look forward to my next stay here! Thank you Michael.

Great Property, Outstanding Value
This is a very good property for larger groups. This was almost too much house for my group of 10, but that is a good problem to have. Everything was clean and in good working order (bathrooms, kitchen appliances, laundry). The location is a bit remote, but that is pretty standard in Vermont and is a non-issue if you are prepared for it. A 20 minute drive will get you a town with restaurants, gas stations, and a grocery store. The property might be difficult to access in the winter due to the roads leading in if there is heavy snow. The property owner is easy to get a hold of and responded quickly to my communications. My only suggestion would be to have a laminated sheet with property info such as house rules/check out requirements/owner's contact info posted on the fridge or somewhere else that is highly visible. As the person booking the trip, I had this info, but this way all guests would have easy access in case your group splits up during your stay. All in all a great property at a value you can't beat. I would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to the area.
