Super sweet place to stay if in Stowe for a ski trip. Mountain shuttle stops here and attached to the neon wave ski shop and blue donkey bar! Really nice open space, good vibes, super quiet and chill considering attached to a bar. Perfect location between lower Stowe and ski village.

Perfect little vacation spot!

The Stowe Mountain Road Escape was the perfect spot to escape for a fun weekend in the mountains with my husband. The location could not have been better. It's right down the street from The Alchemist, and the Stowe Farmer's Market is right across the street (on Sundays). The unit was very clean and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable, and there were extra linens provided in the closet (we like extra pillows). We did not use the kitchen, but it seemed to be well stocked. We used the wifi on our phones and we streamed Netflix on the TV and had no issues. Parking was great - very convenient. I was curious if the adjoining bar would be noisy, but I never heard anything. It was a nice, quiet, cozy little spot. We would love to come back.

Great Place and Close to Stowe Resort

This place was great! It is a short 10 minute drive down the road from Stowe resort. The Blue Donkey next door had great food and drinks. They had all the amenity a place should come with. Plenty of towels, garbage bags, soap, blankets, and pillows. I stayed here with two other people so we had to bring an air mattress so we all had somewhere to sleep. There were two things that were a slight issue. The couch folds out to a bed, which is great for an extra place to sleep but it is not comfortable at all. Also, the Wi-Fi was not great which they do warn you it’s not the best. Using your phone is fine but streaming movies off streaming apps were laggy. All and all, I would stay here again. Vacasa did a great job making us feel welcome and comfortable.

Nice place

This was a clean and spacious place for two people to hole up while running a nearby running race. Other than the fact that we found this place vastly preferable to an expensive chain hotel, I don't have much else to say except that I am going to address a few reviews we found to be misleading. First, I'm not sure why people are so upset about being able to "see into the basement." Basically, there are a couple floorboards near the entrace with about an 1/8 inch gap that admits some light from the basement, which is apparently used by the restaurant. It's by the entrance and nowhere near the bedroom. Big deal. Cover it with a towel if it bugs you. Second, the restaurant is hardly a "dive bar" as someone stated. It's basically a burgers-and-beer place, and it looked OK to me. We stayed here on a Saturday and a Sunday, and on both days, the restaurant was pretty quiet near closing time, and when they closed at 10pm, it was totally silent. The noise from the nearby road was much louder than anything coming from the restaurant. We had no trouble sleeping. Third, to the person complaining that this place does not comfortably sleep two couples: correct. It is a one-bedroom rental. There is indeed a curtain between the "living room" and the "bedroom" but really, you should think of this place as kind of like a studio apartment. We'd stay here again.

The property is connected to a bar. The music started at 9 pm just as we were going to bed and lasted until the early morning hour! It was terrible. The bed was lumpy, soft and mesiable!

No hot water and no WIFI for the entire stay.We contacted Vacasa several times about these issues. They promised to send a team, but no one showed up.The most disturbing issue was the loud music that was playing every night in the pub next door. I mentioned to Vacaso that I just had a surgery and needed a lot of rest, but every night our bed was vibrating from the base sounds from the bar. The music and vibrations would usually start at 9 PM and last till 1 AM. We hardly got any sleep. Vacasa never advertised that the unit was sharing a wall with a pub and when we complained abut this, they did nothing. All in all it was a terrible experience. We just astounded how they could dare rent a place where they knew no one could get any sleep. This is totally irresponsible, especially knowing they did not disclose this.

Short ski trip

The unit was everything we needed for a short ski trip. It was comfortable clean and had all the basic amenities. Decent location with a restaurant attached and other places within walking distance. Close to the mountain we highly recommend this for skiers looking for a simple place to stay.

Quiet and middle centered in Stowe

Large space in old building was fine for our needs. We didn't need a kitchen, just a warm bed for...

The location was great, on the Mountain Rd that leads south right into town and north to Mt. Mansfield. Near lots of restaurants and bars. Better than staying in the town, which was super crowded.

Disappointing Getaway

Right after arrival we discovered the toilet was clogged. Texted agency which seemed to have AI generated support. Sent technician out that night but heater malfunctioned after texting company. Clog was cleared but couldn’t repair heater. Second tech could not fix either and had to come back with small space heater. 3rd tech came day 2 for about 2 hours and could not fix. 3rd day same tech and another more experienced tech came for a good 2 hours, no success. Asked customer service for another heater as it was down in the 50’s inside at night. Second heater was not delivered as temps went down to one degree that night. Asked for compensation and they gave less than 10%. Stated that wasn’t acceptable and they said I would be contacted. Two days later no response and contacted them again. Again told I would be contacted. Over a week now and no contact. Workers who showed up were professional but overall customer support was very poor.

not quite what they said...

This is a studio, but listed for 4 people. That is simply incorrect. The "couch" was not able to have 2 people sleep on it, and we luckily found 2 air mattresses in the closet for the kids to sleep on. However, they both had holes in them, so we had to try and patch them and then reinflate multiple times throughout the night. You should not be counting air mattresses when you advertise that your space sleeps 4 (or IF you do, you should tell the public you are using air mattresses for that count). THe hot water was out the morning after we got there, we called the number and was told to check the basement for the boiler (it was a multiple unit building, we had no basement access). I called back 2x to see if they could send someone out. When I called back hours later they said they weren't sure when someone would be coming out. Luckily, the pipes must've thawed because the hot water was back working by the time we got home from skiing (but not because someone came to fix or look at it). The location is great, the restaurant next door worked well apre skiing, but we will not be returning or using vacasa again.

Great place to crash

Lovely small place to stay near the center. My partner and I loved it, highly recommend as a place to stay with your partner, close to breakfast /coffee in the am then a short drive to the mountain and a short walk to Alchemist and being next to the Blue Donkey was great perk.

comfortable & convenient

room was clean & location was perfect on the mountain road. wed to sat was my original reservation. my key code malfunctioned after i requested a sunday extension for check out which was very frustrating! other than that my experience was fantastic. also the blue donkey bar right next door was AWSOME too!
