"We had the most wonderful stay at the Hjelle Hotel. A must if you are in the area. The dinner each night was incredible, all food made with local ingredients and so delicious. Our 9 month old was with us and the owners went out of their way to accommodate her and provide what we needed. Also, the views from the hotel grounds are out of this world. We hope to come back one day- our stay here was a highlight of our trip to Norway. "

"We had great time . The view of fjord from the garden is amazing. Enough tables/chairs to enjoy view during breakfast. Our room had fully kitchen. Has washer/dryer. Although location is not walking distance from Geiranger port but the owner offers shuttles for a reasonable 150 NOK per person . The host Ian is very knowledgeable but can be awkward at times. He likes to talk about Geiranger which in a way is good for us tourists who are new to the area. I would suggest the owner to post better pictures of property and fjord views. "

"Very nice location and views from the hotel. Cozy interior and clean room. The blinds was however not working properly, but it was possible to get it completely dark anyways. The beds were falling apart from each other and the top mattress sided down during night, which was a bit annoying. Otherwise, we had a really good stay. Cozy and nice breakfast! "
