Hotel is conveniently located to the train station. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were just okay, not as clean as so would expect, broken curtain rod, and shower spout was broken which made it challenging to shower.

Nice little local hotel that is steps away from the train station. I was surprised to see the hotel as soon as I stepped out of the Central Station. it's not luxury however it's very comfortable and cozy. the room is more spacious than expected There is free Wi-Fi provided but you will need to get the password from the receptionist print out. the Wi-Fi is relatively stable and strong compared to the previous hotels that I stayed in the other cities during this trip Breakfast is available for 11 Euro, itis quite a good value. located on the third floor in a buffet style. the bed is very comfortable and the temp control is nice and Balanced. not too hot or cold regardless of the weather outdoor

Good hotel, right opposite the station.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel - it was very well located for the train station as we travelled to Strasbourg by the TGV from Paris. It was also well located for the Grande-Île and Petite France areas of the city and the tram and bus stops were also very close by for trips further afield. We arrived ahead of the check-in time and the receptionist, who spoke excellent English, advised that we could keep our luggage in the adjacent room and have a look around before checking in later, which we did. Breakfast was offered, but we did not avail of this, so we have no opinion on this. The room was spacious enough for us, the air-conditioning was excellent and needed in this hot late summer; the en-suite bathroom had the toilet in a separate adjoining room which is unusual and welcome. All in all, a very nice stay and we would happily recommend this hotel to any travellers heading to Strasbourg - we noted that the hotel was fully booked for the 1 of the 2 days we were there (a Saturday), so it must be popular!

Great old fashioned hotel
Our family of four enjoyed the hotel Vendôme very much. We had to book two rooms (always the case in France...), which were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was amazing! The hotel is very well located right in front of the Strasbourg train station (3 minutes walk). I appreciated the old fashioned look (real keys versus magnetic key cards 🙂) and the very friendly and helpful owner.

Great Location
The room was very comfortable and clean and did not feel tight. The elevator is very small- only big enough for one person with luggage or two with handbags. The location was fabulous- right across from train station, if arriving by train. Cafes all around. Grocery two doors down. Walking distance to all the sights on the Grande Isle - cathedral, Petite France, museums. Parking was a longer walk!

Great staff, great rate
A friend and I decided to book a room at the last minute in Strasbourg and the Vendome had a great rate. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The room was nice with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was small and the shower tiny, but the water pressure and temperature was good. The breakfast was fine, not much variety but what they had was good.

Very welcoming, very convenient location for railway station and only a short walk to the centre. My one complaint is the noise from the square by the station. It seems to be a focalise point for the late night revellers and also the early morning workers on the new tram line. Triple glazing would help.

Great hotel, perfect location!
Can't say enough about this place, it's in the city center right across from the train station and walking distance from everything. Despite this, it's been renovated recently enough that the windows are sound proof so you aren't kept awake by the bustle outside. The staff was super nice and sort of upgraded my room for me when I had made two separate reservations for 2 consecutive nights so that we didn't have to move our stuff from one room to another. The rooms aren't so big but they are very comfortable and clean. Early in the morning of our last day we had a train to Lille and it was SO much less stressful than expected to only have to walk across the street to the train station! Overall, I don't think you can do much better than Hotel Vendome and it's pretty reasonably priced too.

Hotel and staff were lovely, and the free breakfast was the best of our trip. However, the room needs more lighting and more than just 2 pillows (both of which unfortunately had plastic covers).

Excellent location within walking distance of all the sites. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Construction around the hotel made access difficult on arrival. Hotel gave vouchers for parking so parking was free which saved $16 daily.

Really nice hotel near the station, excellent helpful staff, easy access to everything in Strasbourg and really nice rooms. We didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment although it certainly looked good. This is a small personally run hotel and the care and attention certainly shows!

Great place to stay in Strasbourg.
I had a very nice experience at this hotel. It is located very convenient to the main rail station in Strasbourg, so was easy to connect to train back to Paris. It is on the main street leading from the train station to the downtown, so there is a lovely traffic of people. The hotel itself had much larger room space and exceptional shower and bathroom. Large windows and a balcony opened on the street and it was enjoyable to sit out on the balcony and watch the life of the avenue. After a much more expensive stay for a couple days about 1 km away in the main urban center, I was so relieved to find the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere of this 3-star hotel. It was very comfortable, relaxing and convenient to everything, including the wonderfully efficient city trams and rental bicycles located right at the train station. The breakfast served us well worth what you pay and it is served in a lovely upstairs dining area. I would recommend this hotel for the value I received while there. The management is very helpful and attentive to creating a good experience for travelers.

This hotel is directly across the street from the train station which is great if you have a lot of luggage. There are also 4 others right across the street. The desk staff were all very friendly, which is pleasant. My room was terrible. It reeked of cigarette smoke, which I feel like they probably all do since the hotel is so old. The bed was perhaps the least comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. This hotel is in desperate need of renovation. The noise outside is what you’d expect from a hotel room right across from the train station-non stop luggage rolling and people yelling. Decent location in regards to the old town center.

Great location - close to the railway station and the old city. Hotel is an old building but totally renovated inside and out. Custom made modern furniture, great design, all appliances are of good quality and in working order. Spacious rooms, very clean. A/C and wi-fi work flawlessly. Beds, mattresses, pillows and blankets are very comfortable. Very courteous and friendly personnel (speak English). They were very helpful day and night. Helped us with parking, luggage and advice. They were very kind to print some papers for us, offered bar service during the night time, as well as dishes we lacked. Excellent experience. Great value for money. The best hotel we stayed in during our 2 week European trip. We stayed longer than planned. Many thanks to the staff and the owner! Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel close to station and old town centre
Friendly welcoming staff in lovely hotel close to the railway station and within walking distance of town centre. Breakfast buffet was served in a very pretty room on the third floor offering an excellent selection of food. The staff member was friendly and responsive to requests. Room was well equipped. Windows opened out onto the main pedestrian thoroughfare from the station to the town centre but the double glazing meant that we could not hear any noise from outside when they were closed. Several good restaurants nearby as well as plenty of cheaper options.

small room for 3 people. the bathroom also very small (even for 2), and the door of the bathroom is not really closed. the parking that they sent us to was expensive, there are cheaper parking in the area. but after all the staff was nice and the place is OK if you are 2 persons.
