The home is part of a divided house, and guests have access to one half only — the left half of the house when viewed from the road. The apartment has its own private entrance and offers a warm, homely setting with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, and living space. With mountain views, a terrace entrance, and a quiet location, this is an ideal place to relax after a day of driving, hiking, or sightseeing around the Faroes.



The Space:

The apartment is located in one half of the house, specifically the left side of the property when looking at it from the road. You will have access only to this private part of the home.



Inside, the apartment is bright, clean, and thoughtfully furnished with a simple Scandinavian feel. The space is designed to be practical, comfortable, and welcoming, whether you are staying for a short visit or using it as a base for a longer Faroe Islands trip.

The kitchen and living area are open and airy, with plenty of natural light and a cozy atmosphere. The bedroom is peaceful and suited for a restful night’s sleep after a day outdoors. The bathroom is modern and practical, with shower space and the essentials needed for your stay.



This home is especially well suited for couples, solo travelers, or anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable stay in a scenic village setting.

Guests have access to the private apartment only, which is the left half of the house as seen from the road.

How to enter the apartment:

When you arrive, you can park near the house. From there, walk up toward the property and go through the first gate. Continue ahead toward the terrace. Once you reach the terrace, the apartment entrance is the first door on the left, right next to the white bench.



Please note that this is not the main front entrance of the full house. Your entrance is on the terrace side.



The Neighborhood:

Streymnes is a peaceful village with a relaxed and authentic Faroese atmosphere. It is a lovely place to stay if you want to experience the Faroe Islands in a quieter local setting rather than in a busier town. The area is surrounded by beautiful mountain views, open landscapes, and fresh sea air, making it a wonderful place to slow down and enjoy the scenery.



The neighborhood is residential and quiet, so it is especially suitable for guests who appreciate calm surroundings and respectful travel. From the property, you can enjoy the feeling of being close to nature while still having good road access to other parts of the islands.



Streymnes works very well as a base for discovering nearby villages, scenic routes, hiking areas, and day-trip destinations throughout the Faroe Islands.



Getting Around:

We strongly recommend having a car during your stay, as this is the easiest and most convenient way to explore the Faroe Islands. Public transport is limited compared to driving, and many of the most beautiful places are best reached by car.



There is parking available near the house, making arrival and day trips simple. From Streymnes, you can drive to many other villages and attractions across the islands, making this a practical base for sightseeing and nature experiences.



If you plan to explore widely, having your own car will give you the greatest flexibility.



Other Things to Note:

Check-in is from 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Please respect the house rules and take out trash before departure.



We offer extra flexibility

Would you like to arrive a bit earlier or leave a little later? We provide both early check-in and late check-out for an additional fee. Please reach out in advance to confirm availability.

It is also possible to order a baby cot and a high chair for an additional fee.

Faroese weather changes quickly, so practical clothing for wind and rain is always recommended



Please note that a local tourism tax and administration fee apply to all stays. These are standard requirements in the Faroe Islands and will be arranged separately closer to arrival.
