We loved our stay in Sturgeon Bay! The house was everything we had hoped for! We especially loved the four season room, the deck, the dock for fishing and the view! The location was great for beaches and close to restaurants and stores!
Great house right on the water with large deck, dock and yard. House had large windows overlooking the water, comfortable beds, any amenity we would need, was clean and the host was super responsive regarding suggestions for restaurants and things to do. Overall it was a really great stay and we would definitely return.
we all really enjoyed our stay- Grandma and Grandpa, Mom and Dad, our 7 month old baby, and 5 year old dog! Lots of space to play or spread out- especially the large deck. Great location and owner suggestions for food and activities were spot on. Just had such a lovely time
Our stay was perfect! The home was cozy, clean and comfortable and had beautiful views. We were able to fully relax while enjoying all the comforts of home. So grateful we were able to get away with our dog as well. We would definitely return!
Pets There was so much pet after effect that it really made it hard on son #1
Except for pet effect the home and location were perfect.
Thank you so very much. If you become a no pet house let me know. We would love to stay there again.
We had a thoroughly relaxing week. Everything we needed available in the house. Quiet despite being in town. Very convenient to several yummy restaurants and fun shops. On the water for lovely breeze and front row seats for the Sturgeon Bay fireworks on 4th of July! amazing!! Sun porch and deck were our constant hang out spots. Easy to take day trips to other little towns and adventures on the peninsula. AND we all slept like rocks- thanks to the comfy beds:)
It was beautiful to wake up to the sunrise on the lake. So close to the water. Close to shopping and restaurants. There was 8 adults and we were all comfortable with the space. Beds were so comfortable to sleep. Just wished it had another bathroom, dishwasher and a cheap toaster. Toaster oven took forever and just made the toast crunchy and not brown. Small detail. They have everything to make meals. Loved the old fashioned fridge and stove. Good place to stay
Our stay was nice. The home had everything that was listed. The waterfront view was nice to wake up to and fall asleep to. We had enough space for everyone. The cottage itself is not spacious, so your group needs to be okay with being cozy. It definitely has a "vintage" feel with the kitchen appliances and some of the decor. The Door County weather didn't cooperate for us to use the outside as much as we would have liked to, but that is not the property owner's fault. Jill was easy to communicate with throughout the week.
The cottage was adorable, my nieces loved the vintage touches . The upstairs bedroom that accommodated 3 beds was a hit with the girls..adults at that! Reminded me of my family home growing up in the 50’s. We spent most of our time on the deck from early morning to sunset when we weren’t exploring the peninsula. The sunroom was our next favorite spot and all the furniture was comfortable . Jill provided everything that we needed in the kitchen including basics like spices and such. The cottage is on a dead end road on the bay sheltered by lots of trees .
Our very minor complaint would be the drip coffee pot took forever to brew. We discovered the Keurig too late .
Jill is a great host and answered my queries prior to arriving promptly!
Renting this location was a great decision for our Door County vacation. Quiet neighborhood, easy to access Sturgeon Bay businesses, and a great view of the bay made for a relaxing and fun vacation.
