Beautiful Black Hills Retreat

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The house is in great condition, there is an amazing amount of space in the house. We loved all the deck areas and watching deer frolic in the evenings. It was very clean! It was perfect for our family.

We loved staying here. It was easy to locate and the home was incredible. We were close to Sturgis and not far from Deadwood either. There were deer walking around outside which added to the charm. James was very responsive to all my questions and was a great host overall.

Great place with lots of room

My family of 5 stayed here for a few nights. The house is centrally located in the Black Hills which makes it possible to visit all the favorite sites. The deer came out in the grassy areas every evening which made sitting on the deck or either porch that more enjoyable. I would highly recommend booking this house.

The home is very cozy excellent location with beautiful views! Love the 2 decks, walk out basement patio! This was very fitting for our family, we were here for our daughters wedding. We had a great stay at this property. Great location if you are visiting the Deadwood/Sturgis area. Home was clean and comfortable with lots of room. Family vacation

Nice property with plenty of bedrooms for everyone. We were out doing other things most of our stay. We did golf at Boulder Canyon across the road. Also rented UTVs in Sturgis, plenty of great trails close to the house. ( also deadwood is very close, stopped there a couple of times too.) Very peaceful stay. Great location.

Senior Sibling Retreat

Ours is a group of 5 senior siblings and spouses. We meet and hangout yearly in different locations. This house was big enough to accomodate us easily. The yard was big enough to play the outdoor games that many of us enjoy. The area is beautiful with so much to see and do. What more could anyone want!

We had 4 couples and this house was perfect for us to all hangout at during down time. It had most everything we needed, the only thing that would have made the stay a little easier would more cooking equipment to make it easy to cook breakfast for a larger group. But not a deal breaker either!

Independence Day get away

For the most part, everything went great. Wonderful location and James was terrific to deal with. We’ve been renting homes for 14 years and have a few observations from our other experiences.More utensils would be recommended so there is plenty for larger groups and a railing on the platform / staircase in the garage would be a nice safety item. Adding mirrors in the bedrooms would also be a nice.Otherwise, the house was great and it was nice to sit by the fire pit and enjoy the view!We would all recommend this house for anyone heading to Mt. Rushmore.

Family Outing for Easter

We were able to enjoy the Easter holiday weekend with our extended family. This house was large enough to accommodate 6 adults and 5 children in a comfortable way. There is living spaces on the main floor and large areas in the basement for groups to gather to play games or watch movies together. The large yard was a great place to play football and games with the kids as well. We also enjoyed the wildlife in the yard as deer passed through daily as well as a large flock of turkeys.

Great place to gather with family and friends!

Great location close to Deadwood, Sturgis, hiking as well as close Interstate access for a quick drive to Spearfish, Rapid City and beyond. The house is set up so well for groups to gather with plenty of places to gather (or escape) as needed. Allowing the fur babies to come is another extra. There are many extras included in the house that make prepping meals, etc. so easy. I would definitely recommend this home and will stay again if we visit this area in the future.
