It's exactly what it says: budget
ibis budget Ludwigsburg is exactly what it says: budget The hotel is modern, efficient and clean. It's short walk (2-3 minutes) to the train station is a definite plus. I felt that "budget" was taken a step too far. There should be a cup or glass for brushing your teeth and two towels instead of one (one bath towel and one hand towel). The staff was very friendly and helpful with some of my questions. All in all, it was a pleasant stay.

Poor standard
We booked two rooms as we were visiting family.We had to change room 3 times out of 5 night stay as all the rooms were flooded with water droplets from air conditioning unit dripping near the door .Our first room window was hanging out of the latch every time we opened the door window opened coming out of latch such huge safety issues and I was holding with my hand then the receptionist came and locked that window again we moved room .The receptionist both ladies were very helpful and kind but I wouldn’t stay in this hotel as I never expected this very basic if I had known I would have booked elsewhere not ibis .i regularly book at ibis but this is very below standard and it’s not worth the money ,my son truly believe ibis has to refund some kind of compensation for all the inconvenience.

Great hotel for a budget. Very convenient to the train station and downtown Ludwigsburg. The staff is also VERY helpful if you don’t speak German. The only negative is that the air conditioning sometimes leaks condensation.

We enjoyed our stay at Ibis Ludwigsburg- it was really close to the train ststion and the price was affordable. The staff was friendly and our checking in/out was quick.

Wafer thin walls, hence noisy
I booked a budget hotel, I am not expecting a four star. What I do however expect with a reasonably new hotel that they would have built to a reasonable standard, but the walls are wafer thin, somebody at Accor head office decided to save every single cent on building material. The man next door had a cough, and it was like he was staying in the same room. Also they did invest in heavy doors, which slam shut and move the furniture in your room and sale you up. Essentially from a hotel room you want a quiet environment, this hotel is noisy by design. Of all the hotel chains, I think Accor is the worst. When I was a platinum member, they didn't always read my request. This time they acknowledged my request and I was shocked that they had. Upon checking in I realized that they hadn't, and it took an age to find a suitable room, which of course wasn't available. The air con was a joke, it appears to be on one setting, no matter what you set it at, on/off, cool or hot. On the positive side the room was clean, but that's the only positive I can see.

First, the pluses: air conditioning and an appetizing breakfast for a reasonable price. Now, the minuses: First, it is very disheartening to have the shower in the guest room, rather than the bathroom. Second, there is no room phone—-a disadvantage if you have problems with the room. You can’t just call the Front Desk; you have to go down there. Third, I had to be moved three times. In the first room, I could hear the person in the next room snoring. In the second room, the chair-level lights flickered through the night. I was moved to a third room for the second night. There, I had the same problem when I plugged in a medically necessary device. I then told the hotel that I wanted to leave.

No iron and a broken shower.
Disappointing stay at this hotel. Stayed at a number of Ibis hotels but this wasn’t the best experience. 2 main problems; Hotel had no ironing facility either in the room or a dedicated ironing room in the hotel. Apparently they owned 1 iron but it was lent out somewhere and was not available at all during our 2 day stay. We asked multiple times. If you have a 100+ room hotel, you should either possess more than one iron, or have a dedicated ironing room with the iron available for use. We managed the first day with our ‘least creased’ clothes, but had to buy some new shirts for the second day. Not good enough when you are paying nearly 70 euros a night. Secondly, the shower in our room was broken. This caused inconvenience due to it only being discovered after unpacking etc. So we had to repack, leave the bags in reception, then return later for another room. The initial shower was also not clean, but I imagine that may be linked to the absence of water. It should have been picked up when the room was prepared though. I would not stay in this hotel in future.

We arrived on a Sunday & everything was closed, managed to find a great Irish bar in town (only a short walk away) for food & Drinks. Hotel was clean rooms were small but more than functional, typical Ibis with a single bunk above the double bed & open shower room / sink with Private toilet. The hotel is directly opposite the train station with a Netto inside. Sam's Dinner next to the hotel is a great place to eat / drink. We parked opposite the hotel entrance on the train station car park & didn't move the car for 3 days we paid for the parking at the hotel reception - ask for a "Drive out ticket" which was £8 in total (even if you leave you car there for a whole month!!) Staff were nice and spoke good English , We didn't have breakfast - location is perfect for a train into Stuggart centre

Very comfortable and well put together hotel.
A great Ibis Budget, great location and very nice room, basic but super comfortable and well done. Breakfast was good. Only gripe was that we were on motorbikes and there is no motorbike parking; some of the local car parks do not accept motorbikes, but we parked on the pavement around the corner... staff were not helpful in this regards with advice.

Great hotel that's located a literal stones throw from the main station. It is modern, clean and meets all the needs for a budget traveller. The rooms are very compact and I'm not sure I'd want to share with anyone other than my wife. However, we had 5 rooms between our party and all had a double bed, with a bunk bed above. Breakfast is 7.50 per person and those of our party that had it were complimentary. We used the bakery directly opposite for takeaway coffee etc. There's a couple of vending machines in reception and these stock bottled beer and snacks. Very useful when we came back from the Fruhlingsfest. All in all, we would all use this hotel again. Recommended.

COLD, DAMP, AND NASTY. The room's thermostat was limited to prevent the guest from turning up the heat. The sheets and blankets were not clean and afflicted the guest with cold and allergy symptoms during the entire stay!

Fecal odor but good staff
The room had a fecal odor so we asked the hotel staff and they came in and cleaned it up. Hotel staff were great! The shower was in the middle of the room so no privacy. Wifi was good. Bed was comfortable.

I visited my son who is in university in Stuttgart. Although a little small, the Hotel room was clean and well positioned in the area as it is close to all transport facilities and shops. The only negative I will add is the hotel does not provide a hot breakfast service. We went out to the local coffee shops for our breakfast.

I have no complaints at all about this hotel, it is modern and well presented, the staff are always very kind and helpful. The interior is the standard Ibis Budget arrangement, but everything is very clean, modern and well kept. The location is very convenient for the train station.

Modern Ibis Budget hotel, very close to railway station so convenient for trains into Stuttgart. Area outside can be a little noisy, rooms were a bit hot. Otherwise, no complaints - staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Great new budget venue
Generally happy with this budget hotel. Room had thin walls and door which didn't offer much soundproofing. This was a problem early in the mornings when people were up and about early.

Good Budget Lodging
Delivers on the name - clean, comfortable budget accommodations. Room is rather small, but not bad for a short stay or just sleeping. Internet worked and was available. Breakfast was a great add-on amenity as there was not much available in the area. Although they advertise air conditioning, there is no way to control the temperature from the room. If you are on an upper floor it can be quite hot and you cannot leave the window open due to train noise.

Very friendly welcome from receptionist. Room is excellent for the price you pay - Hotel is a place to sleep, not for lounging about in. Room is comfortable, and large for European standards. Sound insulation is excellent - very peaceful. It was hot during my stay, and working Air Conditioning was very welcome. Easy access to Train Station, and 15 minutes from Stuttgart HBf, with frequent services. Ludwigsburg is a nice town to stroll about in during the evening - historical architecture, relaxing parks, and plenty of bars or street cafes. You might even come across the world's largest piggy bank!! A great, cheap base for either Stuttgart, Ludwigsburg, or given its proximity to the Station, Baden Württemberg as a whole.
