Be well prepared before the stay.
The caretaker was nice enough to offer us a pan and some salt for cooking although these stuff should have been available in the room anyway. There was no hair blower in bath room. The curtain on the windows couldn't even block the light and made it difficult to continue sleeping in the morning. The information given prior to arrival was wrong and it was embarrassing to knock the door of other guests when looking for caretaker. The good thing is that there is a playground just down the house which is very good for children.

Room was very spacious but not clean. Shower had no curtain or doors so had to clean water up after use. Kitchen sink had hair in it, shower drain so full of hair it would drain and backed up gunk all over your feet. Glad only had one night there.

The rooms and bathroom are in downstairs through a very narrow staircase. The bathroom stinks and make the whole area including the rooms stinks. It’s smells like sewage backups. The window cannot lock and keep dropping down, making noise and very cold in the room. No hair dryer , shampoo or soap provided. With the price I paid for I wouldn’t recommend for people.

The only good thing about this place is that it is spacious for a family of 4. Otherwise, it requires a lot of updates. The apartment was managed by a caretaker who seemed like this was his summer job. Retrieving the key from the coded key box was not straight forward. Even though the contract stipulated free wifi, it was not available initially. The caretaker had to come in and change the card/modem. No body wash or shampoo was provided and when requested the care taker replied that it was not his duty. Not once were we able to communicate with the owner.

Good location - extra TLC would make a difference
Apartment was easy to find and well laid out but is in need of upkeep. Sofa/chairs all had stains. Bathroom was clean but kitchen, particularly the stove, could have been cleaner. A bit of investment/cleaning would have made things better. Lastly, the spiral staircase was a bit treacherous. It was either badly installed or has suffered but it is not level, creaks and does not feel secure. Minimal interaction with owner/renter. Matter of fact. We're just business.

A good apartment in a nice small town
We stayed here one night. We were given the code by e-mail 2 days prior as promised. There was also a caretaker on site which was good because we couldn't figure out how to lock the door (not used to this particular European design). The apartment was a good size and the kitchen was good. We went to the local supermarket and collected provisions. Across the road from the supermarket is what looks like a hardware store (and is) but it is also the bottle shop where we got a good wine for a good price. The only thing we didn't like was the steep spiral staircase that creaked when you used it.

No hair dryer, shampoo or hair gel
The apartment was nice BUT there was no hair dryer, shower gel or shampoo. When I called the caretaker the first suggestion she gave was for my wife to use hand soap for her hair and that there were never any hair dryers there. It was all resolved but shouldn’t really come up to begin with.

Great apartment, but beware of late night arrivals
A very spacious, well fitted apartment. We found everything that we wanted at Our Home Apartments. The thing that we did not appreciate was that at 11pm the Caretaker arrived and tried to put another traveller in the bedroom we were not using! We asked them to leave, which they did - the Caretaker claimed that it was the owner who instructed her.

According to your booking you booked a double room with a shared bathroom but for some reason you had your things all over the apartment and our caretaker was quite startled from your response. The guest who was supposed to be in the other bedroom was moved to another room.

Nice apartment but bathroom downstairs
We arrived and were pleased to find a nice warm welcoming unit--the bedroom was barely big enough for the double bed but we slept great. The kitchen was well equipped, and the grocery is near, and the pool is across the street. However the bathroom is down the spiral staircase, with the laundry room, so if stairs are an issue for you this isn't the place. We had a bit of trouble figuring out the settings right on the wash & dry cycles, with the clothes still damp after over an hour and half and a dozen or so trips up and down the stairs because the dryer kept stopping...cute town.

Absolutely not worth the price. Beds were old and too soft. Hardware in shower was broken and noisey bathroom vent couldn't be shut off. Worn out furniture in kitchen, dining, living area. Bedrooms on lower level with a tight spiral staircase so we left the suitcases upstairs - not that there was enough room for a suitcase in the bedroom anyway....

Two story condo. It was clean, and for a solo traveler, definitely spacious. Fully equipped kitchen and dining table, sofa, TV, balcony, wifi, and parking right outside the unit. Bed and other furniture are bit outdated. Bed was very cushy (not firm). Overall, it was good and I would stay again, especially if I come back with a group.

Confusing, unhelpful
Hard to find; no sign outside. I had to knock on random neighborhood doors to get location. When I got there, I had to ask previous residents how to get in. (No instructions on Expedia or anywhere else.) No face towels, just one bath towel, and not very large. Manager difficult to contact; no credit card receipt available.

Nice apt. in small harbor town
We arrived late and only stayed one night, but the unit is comfortable and roomy. The living room and kitchen are on the main level and the bedrooms and bathroom are on the lower level accessed by a spiral staircase. While not listed as an amenity, there was no hair dryer. Also, the wifi is not free.

Like home in Stykkisholmur
A great place to stay in Stykkisholmur. It was like living in your own home. Place was clean, spacious enough for a family of 3-5, and comfortable. Main tip: make sure you know which apartment number is booked for you. The only negative is that while there was a wifi connection, there was no free internet; I had to pay for actual internet usage.

Great overnight in perfect locale - friendly caretaker and a few minute walk to the harbor. Lots of room for a party of 5 pr 6 on 2 floors.

Good location easy to find near Bonus shop.Good designed,well-eqipped kitchen with dining area and living room.Bedrooms are cleaned and comfortable. Even if there were toilet in the first floor,it will be excellent because climbing up and down the spiral stair got some trouble.

Would recommend!
This hotel was perfect for what we needed - a comfortable and clean place to stay for the night. The apartment was very clean and spacious, with basic amenities - fantastic for the price we paid. The location was quite convenient to the town center.

Great Stay
Great size apartment with good kitchen facilities. Close to supermarket & easy walking distance to the marina. No free wifi but overall good accommodation.

This was a very comfortable facility that we would unreservedly recommend. Basically, they are small townhouse-style (2-level) apartments, with the kitchen, dining, and living areas on the upper (ground) floor and the bedroom on the lower level, down a circular staircase. Wow, were those steps creaky! If you were trying to sneak upstairs for a late-night snack, you would wake everyone in the house….. The bathroom had a small shower (the square kind where the doors on the corner slide apart to open). Be aware that the bathroom does not offer any kind of soap or shampoo. This is where your habit of taking soap and shampoo from other hotels will pay dividends!

Great value in a quiet town
Had a huge place all to myself with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom downstairs and a full kitchen living room, sitting room, foyer, and a balcony upstairs. They did also provide bedding and towels. Good pizza place in town. Felt like an amazing deal.

Everything was fine and great for the price. We were told we were lucky, because usually they rent out other rooms in the same apartment, but no one had rented the others. This wasn't very clear in the description and our stay would have been very different had we been sharing the apartment with strangers.

Op de foto lijkt het appartement aan de kust te liggen maar dat is niet zo. Bij de voordeur heb je zicht op zee. Niet vanuit het appartement. Keukeninrichting is oud. Vanuit de zitkamer met spiltrap naar beneden. Beneden twee slaapkamers. Een ruime kamer en de andere kamer is klein met een slecht bed. Goed voor een overnachting op de doorreis.

Sehr geeignet für Familien, da mit Küche, Essecke und "Wohnzimmer" genügend Platz besteht. Es kann auch selbert etwas kleines gekocht werden.

Hotellet är mer av typen vandrarhem, åtminstone den delen vi bodde i, men restaurangen var riktigt bra. Naturen och omgivningarna är så fantastiska så alla eventuella tillkortakommanden vad gäller hotellet med råge övervägs av detta.
