Nestled among wooded mountains yet easily accessible via the A73 and A71, the small village of Dietzhausen offers a peaceful retreat in the picturesque Hasel Valley. Enjoy relaxing or adventurous days with a variety of activities: explore numerous hiking trails, cool off in the outdoor pool during summer, go cycling, or try cross-country skiing in winter.



Just 20 km away lies the famous Rennsteig, Thuringia’s best-known high-altitude hiking trail, which attracts many visitors year-round thanks to its reliable snow in winter. The nearby UNESCO Vessertal Biosphere Reserve is a special highlight, home to rare plants and insects and renowned for its crystal-clear spring water.



The winter sports resort Oberhof is also close by, about 25 km away. It’s perfect for hiking and offers a range of sporting activities, with excellent connections to the biathlon events in Oberhof.
