"This is a hunting lodge and a bit rustic/basic but the location can't be beat-it's right next to wilderness. We even saw a black bear! Full breakfast (anything off the restaurant menu) was included and they even boxed it up for us to take with us."

"Summer after summer, Huckle Chuckle has been wonderfully comfortable and accommodating for our family vacations. It is bright and roomy for all of our activities, especially gatherings on the deck overlooking Eagles Mere lake. Located within walking distance of the lake to the north and the Eagles Mere shops to the south, we always have plenty to do. Trails and the Outlet Pond are always favorites, especially with easy access to Laurel Path around the lake.The occasional and rare concern we have had were immediately and personally addressed by the owners, leaving us confident that we were in good hands. We look forward to our 2027 summer 2027 at Huckle Chuckle."

"The house is beautiful, clean, carpet-free and the fenced in backyard was great for our kids and had a nice firepit with comfy seating area.The creek is gorgeous & had good fishing, The driveway is really steep (listed as steep but still steeper than we expected) and the front road is very busy and made us nervous crossing with young kids to get to creek. Beware of VERY nasty, lying neighbors in red house who are very territorial and don’t want any “renters” in their area and tried to intimidate us away. The host was very responsive to this and will hopefully handle it for future guests.Overall a good experience and would come again,"

"Beautiful setting, private lake which was well stocked. Many fish ( Blue & Bass) caught and thrown back. Nicely remodelled farm house with modern and well euipped kitchen. Bedroom A/C units like new. Spacious and open living room with deck overlooking lake and rolling hills of PA. This was our second year here and not our last."

"This cabin is comfortable and welcoming. The locale was private with trails right outside the door. Kelby was a very helpful host. The kitchen was well appointed. Perfect place to relax.Having a place to bring our dogs is very important to us. They had a great visit too."

"The cabin was very cute, although a little smaller than expected. The location was wonderful for hiking. It was also located in a wonderful setting. The host answered our questions very quickly. Check-in was a breeze.The one disappointment was the cleanliness. We had a dog along, so I expected some odor. however, previous guest must allow their dogs to sit on the furniture, we do not. The couch smelt rather like a dog. So did the rug in front of the couch. On the first day, our dog found what we discovered to be a honey stick straw. On the second day, we lost a game piece between the couch cushions. When we retrieved it and lifted up the cushions we discovered nuts and pretzel pieces that the cleaning lady missed as well.The other thing she missed was a dirty sock by the futon bed . Our dogs toy rolled under the couch so when we retrieved it, we also found a book and a Jenga piece under it. I assume the cleaning lady must have missed that as well.My recommendation would be to provide a drain board for the dish rack and maybe one pair of potholders and one trivet.Considering all in all, we still had a wonderful time."

"The cabin was cozy within a beautiful setting. It was close enough for us to visit the local state parks. What we appreciated was the kitchen being well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans of various sizes. We would definitely consider going back there again."
