"Chose this hotel because it was close to a nearby town. I saw the outside and thought, "It's ok, it's only two nights. I've stayed in a similar place and the room is a clean refuge from a seedy outside." Nope. I took my stuff and stayed at my brother's house. The bed sheets were draping down to the floor under the comforter and the pillows were just thrown on the middle of the bed. There weren't lampshades on the lamps--so just bare bulbs. There was a refrigerator, but it was warm inside. ...

Pine Oaks Cabin includes Guest Pole Barn. Modern comfort meets county living.
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was wonderful during our stay. Both the cabin and poll barn had every thing we needed from linens to pots and pans. Our family of 4 didn't even need to use two of the beds. Very comfortable for large crowds. The 2 1/2 bathrooms came in useful. The decor inside the cabins must have taken some time to accumulate and it felt like home.It was very hot during our stay and we didn't explore as much as we thought we would, the kids stayed very entertained indoors with the endless amount of games and movies. The covered back patios made it easy to stay cool in the shade and enjoy the view of the lake. The Air conditioning worked like a charm during the how summer days.During our stay we check out sculture trail which exceeded the kids expectations and ours. Hundreds of exhibits and a fun drive to get to. Lots of hills.Everyone in town was very nice. The bowling alley was a fun activity to beat the heat. #1 Asian Buffet was great. You gotta check out Hometown Bakery in town. Smokin Pete's was terrific. Gooseponds Pizza was some of the best pizza we ever had. Sullivan Park and Lake was also fun during our visit. Kids cooled off swimming while I was killing it fishing. The owners did a great job communicating with us and making us feel welcome. We would definitely come back again, well worth the value and tons of things we didn't get to explore because of the weather. Great job to the owners !!!"

"We had the best time. The 4 kids had a blast as didmy husband and I. The tents were perfect for us all and very accommodating. The water and kayaking was a hit with everyone. We can't wait to come back for another adventure. This is our second time visiting their beautiful spot. Definitely would recommend to anyone especially if you like the outdoors with water view."
Unique cozy 14x40 Cabin with a nice deck by the water .

"The property was just what we needed. Close to Shakamak State Park. Nice outdoor amenities, numerous kayaks, gazebo, fire pit, fishing docks and a shaded swing. The cabin is dog friendly. The flower bed was a nice combination of plants. Gloria is very nice. If you’re tall, check with Gloria. I’m only 5’8” and felt close to the ceiling."
"Joe and Debbie were absolutely amazing! Great host and every clean cabin and property! My girls loved fishing and the pond!! We enjoyed our 10 days and would highly recommend and would stay again!"
"We very much enjoyed our getaway to this cabin. It was well stocked with dishes, pans, and all the utensils needed. The fishing and hiking trails were excellent."
"This was the perfect pit stop for us on our way through Indiana. House was easy to find and Linton had anything we needed while there. Only thing that took us by surprise was the fact that the third bedroom was in the basement of the house. Clean and functional, but the kids weren’t keen on sleeping in the basement."
