Beautiful Acadia views on 4 serene acres. Private and peaceful after exploring

A peaceful and private location on Flanders Bay. PANORAMIC OCEAN VIEWS of Mt Desert Island on a bay that is perfect for kayaking, sitting by the bay and watching eagles and seals, and beautiful sunsets. My dog Annie and I love a friendly dog visitor as well. The apartment is a studio design with comfy king size bed, living room, mini kitchenette with full size refrigerator available, your own deck with water views, grill, , hammock and all you need to enjoy a peaceful and private Maine vacation. My home provides a private distance and is detached. I offer two LL Bean cruising bikes and kayaks for your use no charge. (Use of bikes and kayaks are at your own risk owner is not responsible for injuries with both or shore injury). )Located between Schoodic Peninsula and Ellsworth both just 15 minutes away. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are about a 30-40 min drive. Your dog is welcome if housebroken. (A crate, I can provide, for your time away is appreciated if you have any doubts about damages) All the comforts of home are here and everything you want to experience on your Maine vacation are accessible! Enjoy sightseeing Downeast Maine, it's lighthouses, reversing falls, peaceful hikes, and quiet ponds as well as Acadia National Park, Blue Hill, Stonington in the opposite direction within 30-45 minutes. Within walking distance you can enjoy lobster dinner, BBQ, ice cream, and scenic highway 1A.
This location offers it all! Peace and solitude, lakes, private ponds with beaches, ocean, hikes on and off Acadia within minutes from my home and all that scenic Rt 1 has to offer in Downeast Maine! Quintessential Maine experience in every direction. Guests consistently review appreciation for the peace and quiet here at the end of busy days in Acadia. My home is rented a few weeks during each summer and you will be advised at time of request if anyone other than the host is occupying.

This comfy studio apartment instantly feels like home away from home. All linens, towels, beach towels, pet cover and towel, coffee maker, coffee and tea, a bottle of wine to welcome your stay and more! The outdoor shower is a must try!. High pressure, hot water, private, all toiletries supplied! The fire pit by shore makes for a peaceful evening. The bay beckons a kayak paddle at sunset! Comforts of home are so important to me as a host!

Melaine Rd is a private driveway that connects three homes. 5 mph max please especially as passing neighbors homes.

This apartment is located over the home's garage and is connected to the home by a breezeway. This rental is most comfortable for a couple.

Get Away

Misty is incredible host - very friendly and helpful. Her place is beautiful, and had everything we needed. The view was spectacular and we loved watching the sea lion on the rock. We also really liked the location - easy to get to Acadia and the Schoodic peninsula. We also loved meeting Annie, her sweet Golden. We definitely will return.

Wonderful location on Flanders bay

My wife and I had a great time. It is a beautiful and peaceful location overlooking the bay. We spent a lot of time at Acadia, which is clos.

The Perfect Getaway

My husband and I throughly enjoyed our stay. The view out the back door was beautiful and so peaceful. I would definitely recommend this stay. Host was wonderful, helpful and always available if needed. We will consider visiting again in the future.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay in Maine. Location is beautiful and Misty, our host was exceptional. The apartment has a fun decor and is well equipped with all of the basic necessities—as well as some thoughtful welcoming amenities. We would definitely stay there again if we come back to this area.

Misty was a terrific host and shared knowledge of the area and where to go. The house is in a beautiful bay with bald eagles that fly over. Kayaking was relaxing. Would definitely go back.

A Piece of Heaven

This is a charming place to stay with the most gorgeous view . Everything was top notch ! The bed was comfortable , nice seating arrangement , and all the necessities needed for our stay . Misty is an incredible host . We can’t say enough about how welcoming she was and helpful in guiding us with our visit to Acadia and the surrounding area.

Amazing Place to Relax and Reflect

Great property - amazing views!

We had a great stay! The views are absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed a great nature show one night with seals, eagles and Ospry doing some fishing right near the dock! The location is nicely situation between Bar Harbour and the Schoodic side of Acadia. We enjoyed both. The lodging was very nice - nicely decorated, clean, cozy, and perfect for the two of us. Misty was a very welcoming host. Everything was great!

Awesome Stay!!

We had the best stay. Misty is an awesome host and gave us a lot of ideas for restaurants and things to do. We had the best view and loved watching the seals and eagles. The studio was perfect to come back and relax at after our long days out and had everything we needed. Annie was an added bonus, just loved visiting with her. Perfect Vrbo

More than we hoped for!

We took a 3rd baby moon to Maine and our stay was beyond wonderful! Misty was very helpful and kind throughout the whole process. The room is cute and homey and offers private seclusion with beautiful ocean views. My wife and I spent time cooking, laying around, and enjoying the waterfront when we weren’t exploring Acadia. Thank you again Misty and we look forward to the next time.

Will be back!

This was an amazing place. Located at end of road on Flanders Bay we had a separate unit (studio) and lots of access to backyard for bonfires as well as outdoor activities like kayaking. Seen lots of animals, seal on rock, wild turkeys and deer. Annie (golden retriever) was favorite for our dog. Misty was so helpful and prepared, enJOYed her company around camp fire. The unit was ideal as we enJOYed morning coffee looking out over the bay. Visited several local restaurants like Tracy’s Seafood as well as Flanders Bay BBQ, both right up the street. Already looking forward to next visit.

The most amazing views

We loved this studio apartment. It had everything we needed and the views are breathtaking. It was a great home base to visit Schoodic peninsula, Bar Harbor, Stonington and more. To come home every evening to these views was amazing. We kayaked across Flanders Bay. Misty was amazing and I know we would be good friends if we lived near. Annie her Golden retriever is so sweet and was nice to have her since our dog could not come on this trip. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful time on Maine coast

The studio on the water is absolutely wonderful!! After long days of hiking at nearby Arcadia, we sat outside and enjoyed the tranquil views of the water. The outdoor shower was great. Misty had helpful recommendations for nearby hikes and restaurants. One of them was The Schoodic Peninsula, which is part of Arcadia Park, was a hidden gem and very close to the studio. Great breakfast and lunch place called Gerrish in nearby "Winter Harbor."

A beautiful escape

Misty’s place is a dream. The location is stunning. We enjoyed sitting out in the backyard and looking out at the Bay. It’s clean and cute, stocked with everything you might need. Misty and her dog Annie were kind and welcoming. She provided great hiking and dining recommendations. Our only regret is not booking more time! Thank you, Misty!

We stayed in the studio and it was the cutest thing ever! Ocean was straight out the sliding glass doors just a few feet away. Loved sitting by the water and gazing at the beautiful scenery of Flanders bay and sipping coffee 😃 The The owners were wonderful and super nice! They seriously thought of everything… So many little details. We would stay here again in a heartbeat 👍 loved our time in Maine !!!!

Wonderful Maine retreat!

Misty was warm and accommodating from the minute we arrived until our departure. The apartment was clean and well appointed with everything we needed. The views are amazing! We enjoyed watching the sunset each evening and it was a thrill to see Bald Eagles flying overhead. The property is located conveniently close enough drive to to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We also enjoyed the short drive to Winter Harbor and Schoodic point. We wish we had more time to enjoy the bikes and kayaks that Misty provides. We would 100% recommended this property and will definitely return if possible!

A Week In Maine

We have never stayed in a more beautiful location than this. From the back yard, which is completely open to guests, you can see Bar Harbor, Cadillac Mountain, tidal changes, and sunsets. From this location we visited Acadia National Park, Schoodic Peninsula and Schoodic Mountain, and made a road trip all the way to Lubec/Calais on the Canadian border. Our host Misty was very welcoming and helpful and co-host Annie (the golden retriever) was always happy to see us. The apartment was comfortable and private and we enjoyed coffee every morning while looking out at the bay. Our week passed too quickly. We would not hesitate to return.

Perfect spot for Maine Vacation

You know you are in the right vacation rental when your views from the rental are as good as what you see at some of the most popular tourist attractions! I can’t brag enough on this space and the hospitality of the owner, Misty. Very comfortable king size bed. Great views from the breakfast table, which doubled as our rummy-playing table each night. You are close enough to enjoy Bar Harbor but far enough away for tranquility. We really enjoyed the very close Schoodic side of Acadia. (Beautiful sites and much less crowded.) Misty’s suggestions for food were spot on. We especially loved fresh lobster on the wharf in Corea. The bonus for this beautiful vacation rental is Annie, the sweetest Golden Retriever. I am mot really a “dog-person” but found myself calling for her in the yard. She is so friendly! 5-stars all around for this rental!
