We do have a security camera placed on the front side of the cabin for your safety only, this camera is pointing down the driveway only and will not affect your privacy at our cabin at all.


If you are looking for rest and relaxation, nature, a chance to getaway from it all, then this is the place. But, remember, there are no street lights, no sirens, no honking horns. Be ready to kick back , have a cup of coffee, a beer, whatever suits you. Leave the stress behind and enjoy your stay. Enjoy the full benefits of all the outdoor activities West Virginia and the area have to offer. Bring your family and enjoy activities such as hiking, boating, jet skiing, kayaking, whitewater ATV riding and Rock climbing or just sit on the porch and enjoy nature and piece and solitude Remember this cabin is located right on the access road which takes you to the Tail Waters to the gauley river. Enjoy the 6 person Hot tub ,Check In time is 4pm and Check out is at 11:00am . And also wanted to add the description that VRBO listed on our site showing directions to different activities in the area that is mostly incorrect if you have any questions about distances to any particular place you are wanting to travel please notify me so I can give you the correct distance. We are only 1.5 miles from the Upper Gauley River there is no one around covered hot tub so you can enjoy in all kinds weather. We do advise renters that 4 wheel drive and chains are required during the winter months/ and no refunds will be given for storms, power outages and inclement weather No shooting of any firearms are allowed on property. This base rate is for 2 people each additional guest after 2 will be a additional 15.00 per person per night. THE ONLY PEOPLE ALLOWED ON THIS PROPERTY ARE PAYING GUEST ONLY, ANY VISITORS WILL HAVE TO PAY THE EXTRA FEE. also wanted to list that we do charge a small pet fee which is non-refundable of $25. when making your reservation. please make sure that you click the pet tab. that way it will let me know that you are bringing a pet and your charge will be added. if you have any questions whatsoever concerning our listing or anything about our listing, please do not hesitate to message me. we can go over everything before you decide to book. thanks again.

The place was clean. The hot tub was clean and ready to use, coming in handy. Thank you for that. We stayed just one night, but we used the fire pit for a bonfire and grilling dinner fare, which provided an authentic camping experience.The last 100 feet of the gravel driveway are quite steep; one of the vehicles with front-wheel drive couldn't make it to the parking area, but the 4-wheel drive SUV managed without a problem.All in all, I would recommend this stay.

We Stayed a Full Week, Within 30mins Of all the Places we wanted to See, I Enjoyed the Hot Tub! & the Bath tub, Cabin was as seen On Pictures. Dog Friendly My Girls was Very Happy with Yard and Free Roaming. I Hope to Return Again In the future, Such a Beautiful Area. Loved having a Washer & Dryer. It Had Everything we Needed & More. And Our Host Gave Us the Privacy we Hoped For & Responded within Minutes of Any Messages! We'll be back ;) The Bathroom was On Top Floor, but We Used Upstairs Bedroom So work Out Great. Only thing I Would Advise is Not having a Vehicle to Low to Ground. You are In the Mountains on Back Roads. But We Loved it...

Memorial weekend stay

Cozy Cabin

We booked a 3 night stay. The host was wonderful and began communicating with us before our stay to make sure we had everything we needed and even checked on us after check in. If you are looking for a cozy cabin that is off the beaten path with a 20-30 minute commute to Summersville Lake this place is for you. It reminds me of Grandmas house growing up with its rustic mountain charm.

The cabin is very well maintained and we were all comfortable during our stay. One issue we had is with the driveway. The gravel on the hill near the cabin is very thick and our van had a hard time getting up the hill. I had to give it three attempts on the first time driving in. We eventually had to unload a few things from the vehicle to get up to the parking area. I think it warrants some improvement, perhaps even just thinning the gravel? Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

From start to finish we enjoyed everything about our vacation. Steve and Barbara are absolutely the most wonderful hosts we have ever encountered. Barbara saw we were having some issues with our truck upon arrival and showed up quickly to offer a helping hand. Unfortunately we found out the hard way we have a vacuum issue with our 4 wheel drive that made it impossible to make the last 50 yards of the hill to the property but Steve showed up with his tractor to pull us to the top! Again...amazing over and above hosts. The hottub was perfect and hot! Much needed to soothe aching muscles after rafting the Upper n Lower G plus the ATV trails going straight to the river are amazing. Plenty of supplies available in home and the peace and tranquility and seclusion are exactly what we wanted. Advise to 1st timers...make sure to test tour 4 wheel drive before attempting that hill...front wheel drive vehicles probably have the advantage. We will 100% be back for our WV visits! See ya soon

Peaceful and private

Really enjoyed the quiet and the beautiful scenery. The house is comfortable and the hot tub is relaxing. Only got to stay one night but would like to stay again in the future.

It was a very clean quiet stay. A few stink bugs, but nothing to worry about. The hot tub was great. The owners were amazing help and always were in communication. Highly recommended.

Great weekend getaway

We stayed for the weekend to get away from everyday life for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was the perfect, most secluded location. It was off the beaten trail, exactly what we wanted. Would definitely come back!

SECLUDED MOUNTAIN CABIN.

Lovely, spacious cabin is off the beaten path but so close to Summersville Lake and all the whitewater rafting you could ask for. Clean, cozy and well stocked for an ideal getaway. We had a peaceful and private stay. Many thanks to our great hosts for their super hospitality.

Excellent cabin tucked in the woods

Awesome place to get away and enjoy the scenery and down time with family. The hot tub was a great addition. Loved the plenty of seating in the living room. Had everything we needed. Close to Summersville Lake was a plus. So much to do in the area.

Peaceful getaway

We had a peaceful stay at the cabin and really enjoyed evening campfires. It's a beautiful drive to the river where we fished and hiked. We discovered a gorgeous waterfall and rock formation. If you're looking for a frills-free quiet spot, this is the place!

Take me home country road

Cabin is clean, roomy, well-kept, and super peaceful. Secluded is not the word. So nice to sit on a porch and listen to nature. Beautiful surroundings. Hot tub feels wonderful after a long day of hiking, boating, fishing, or whatever. Great place!
