Annual fishing trip!
We have stayed in this house three times over the past few years and as always it has been great! 10 people every one has their own bed, kitchen/ living area accommodate’s everyone with ease. The dock had ample space to tie up 5 bass boat’s, everything thing works like it should. Great place for our fishing group!

Relaxing weekend
We had a great time celebrating birthdays this weekend. The boys mostly enjoyed fishing off the dock and the women enjoyed conversation on the porch. The house had everything we needed from cooking to watching football to sleeping.

Great 4 day weekend getaway!
Very well maintained home, nicely stocked kitchen with dishes, pots, pans, utensils etc. Home was very clean and no odors, comfy beds & a quiet, peaceful neighborhood! The kids loved playing with the foosball table and Lincoln Logs lol We enjoyed our 4 day weekend getaway! It was just what we needed Thank you for sharing your home with us. ☺️

Very 70s style but comfortable. Plenty of room/beds for our party of 12. Having two refrigerators was great. The provided linens/towels was a plus and there were plenty of them. Great views, smooth water & easy access to the main lake. The grill does not work. Yard has plenty of room & nice shade in the AM. Having three trash cans to put the trash in when we left was also a plus The Porch is not climate controlled but does have multiple doors to allow a breeze which makes it semi usable. Boat ramp is large enough for a 20 ft boat or a double jet ski trailer & very convenient. A little shallow and too grassy to fish or swim from the dock. Had to rake out the area around the boat ramp to be able to use it, the end of the ramp & beach (which we could not swim at) were covered in about 4-5 feet of vegetation during our visit. Not the owners fault but we were disappointed none the less. Would have been nice to have been notified of the excessive vegetation/grass issue/condition of the water before we rented this home. The Entrance door knob sticks & locks itself, can lock yourself out if no one is inside to help open the door. We took to keeping the key on the porch & not closing the door tight, pushed it closed just so it shut but did not latch. The biggest complaint was the A/C units were both off when we arrived at 6:30 PM & it was 96 degrees upstairs & 86 degrees down stairs. It took until 11:00 PM to get the place cool enough to be comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great location for some fresh air
What a great place to escape the city! Our family stayed here with our kids’ friends and 2 dogs, with the accomplished goal of unwinding before the school year. While feeling older, the property is very well-maintained and very clean. The sunroom can get very hot, and while there is an exhaust fan, it was infeasible to leave our dogs back there in the summertime. We locked ours up in the AC when we went to Walmart (about 30 mins away) for provisions. If you happen to rent the boat as well, do take note that the nearest marina’s fuel dock is no longer in service. The nearest one we could find was the 3rd one we tried, about a 45-minute ride away at the Marker 79 marina. We topped up right away and then again before leaving.

We were fairly comfortable at this home. We decided to stay despite some issues, but were disapointed in a fIew things. First thing was our first morning. We turned the oven on and smoke bellowed out of it. We had to turn it off and when it cooled down, I had to wipe out the oven with a sponge. Someone had sprayed oven cleaner in the oven and did not wipe it out. This is a self cleaning oven so it shouldn't have been sprayed in the first place. I am 70 and shouldn't have had to do this. The dock looked great but we could not fish or swim due to the high volume of grass. (Not the owners fault) However, the boat ramp was slick with green slime and was very visually unapealing. The tub in the upstairs bathroom has a very spongy bottom and the faucets spun around we had to push in on them to get them to work. Also the bottom was very slick and there were no hand rails to hold onto getting in and out of the tub. On the last morning I was cleaning the vanity and found the bath mat rolled up under the sink. That would have been useful from the first day. All the light fixtures in every room had a film on them. I don't think they have been cleaned in quite awhile. There was a plumbing issue in the upstairs hall bath toliet. We were able to plunge it and got it fixed. The washer/dryer need to be replaced. The dryer does not dry throughly and we had to run it a few times to get things dry. We did not appreicate the note left next to the washer by cleaning crew.

Host Does Not Care
Came for a large family thanksgiving. There were plenty of beds and baths for everyone. However, while the property was ok, the cleanliness of the house was less than subpar. The kitchen cabinets may have everything you need but you’ll spend hours looking for items as they’re no rhyme or reason as to where things are stored, the table must have been added after the fact since it blocks some of the cabinets. The oven does not regulate temperature. Burns everything on the bottom within minutes and does not cook anything on the top. Called the host and let him know that we were concerned about burning our Thanksgiving dinner. His solution was to maybe turn the oven on and off while cooking. Grill didn’t have gas. Sand area by water is basically a large litter box full of cat feces. Host is dishonest. Promised things via text and never made good on his word. Got vrbo involved, and he hung up on them. He’s not trustworthy. Beware of this listing and any other listing with this host.

Fun lake house with private boat ramp and beach access
This was a great place to stay for people looking to have fun in the water! We thoroughly enjoyed the boat ramp, private dock, and sandy beach! The glassed-in patio was also a nice touch, as we used this space often for meals and relaxing together. This fun retro-decorated house offers multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, making it the perfect for a multi-family getaway. Some minor drawbacks included the lack of screen doors on the patio (mainly this was an inconvenience in the evenings, when it got a little buggy outside), some dresser drawers were difficult to open or broken, and the downstairs toilet make a gurgling sound every so often - we never had any septic issues but it sounded like that might be on the near horizon. The price was great for the amount of space indoors and especially for the water access on Lake Marion. Overall, we were very pleased with the accommodations and plan to return for another stay in the future!

We used this to accommodate for a fishing trip. House, parking, view, & amenities are great, and dock offers opportunities for added fishing. Dual social areas plus private bedrooms in homes are an added benefit. Great front and back yards!

Great fishing and beautiful views
We enjoyed our stay here. We brought our own canoes, kayaks and fishing poles which made this trip more special and fun. I think we would've been a little bored if we hadn't brought them since the weather was too cold to enjoy the water but, the kids did enjoy the cards games, foosball table the firepit during our stay. Master "bath" was not separated from the bedroom; it was IN the bedroom. Dishwasher was horrible. We cleaned it, but it still did not clean the dishes. Beds comfortable. Good supplies in kitchen. Nice pier.

Son's military retirement
Plenty of room to play, kayak and enjoy outdoor space with grandchildren, parents and pets. The oven thermostat was not working and nearly ruined celebration dinner. Dish washer ran for hours. The home was oversprayed with air freshners and was difficult to breath until our 3rd day. Fortunately, weather was perfect and we enjoyed beautiful location outdoors.

Had to leave the property early due to plumbing problems. Owner of property refunded us our money minus one stay but VRBO would not refund any of our fees. VRBO kept over $600.00 in fees. VRBO wouldn't even discuss refunding me any money.

Great first trip to Lake Marion
Usually hit the beach in summer, but decided to switch things up and try the lake. First trip to Lake Marion and we really enjoyed. The house was very comfortable and quiet. Loved the location on the lake. Renting the boat for the week too was ideal! It was awesome to just jump on it morning or evening to fish, or just motor around the waterways. Brought our paddleboards too. The water is shallow for a longways from the house so the kids were very comfortable paddling all around. Owners were great and very responsive to questions.

Awesome week on the lake
We had an incredible stay on the lake. The appliances and kitchen amenities were excellent. Love that we could put our boat in right at the house and enjoyed fishing off the dock when not in the water. House has plenty of rooms and was easy for my mom, who uses a walker to get around the house. Would recommend the property to anyone who is looking to get away from everything and unwind! Owners were lovely and responded to my questions promptly.

Always a great home to spend a vacation.
From start to finish this was a great home for our annual family vacation. The home was clean and comfortable. We had only one issue and Mr. Lowe handled it quickly. We also liked the easy lake accessibility and the dock was perfect for two boats, The kids enjoyed fishing off of the dock as well as jumping off the end. Family Vacation
We had 3 generations together for a week. 8 adults and 4 kids, ages 2-9. There were plenty of beds and rooms, the small beach in the front yard was fun for the kids, they swam every day. We also fished from the dock. The view is beautiful and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. If you have a boat you can back it right into to the lake and tie up along the pier. The hosts were easy to communicate with and its obvious they take great pride in the condition of the house. I highly recommend it if you're looking for peace, quiet and and the beauty of nature

No frills, no fuss! Great place to stay!
The property owner is great to work with and so very kind. He brought us catfish because we weren't catching any. He informed us if he needed to drop in and was easy to get a hold of. The property isn't updated and has a very 80s feel but that was fine with us. We weren't looking for fancy. There was plenty of room for all 8 of us and then some. The neighbors were quiet and it felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves. The home is a bit off the beaten path and not close to stores or boat rentals. Keep that in mind if you plan to rent a boat. You can't rent a boat across the lake and then drive it back to the house. The middle of the lake is NOT traversible.

Our next guest reported it and the repair crew we sent out told us that someone had backed their vehicle into the oursatellite dish and knocked it out of sync. Great place for large family
The owner David was very responsive and answered any concerns we had right away. His house was very clean and the space was large but felt very cozy. We had a family reunion/surprise 70th birthday party and it worked out perfectly. The sunsets over the lake were beautiful and we all had a wonderful time. We will definitely be coming back next time we have a family reunion in that area.

Great Time - Cold Week
What a wonderful property. What a cold week. We booked hoping for more outdoor activities. Booking in January, of course, we knew the risk...and willing to accept it. Primary goal was family, food, and fellowship. Mission accomplished! Most of week was frigid. It put a damper on boating and lake activities, but we still had an awesome time. Some of us went fishing - great success, with tips from the owner...he is very knowledgeable and helpful (great guy). We used the fire pit - a lot. The house was spacious and well suited for a large family get together. Beds were super comfy; kitchen and dining is large. The dock and mooring - excellent. Finally, if willing to drive a little - lots of local adventure and good dining (Santee State Park, Charleston, Manning, and more). Great vacation - great home. Thanks!!!

Lake Life dream
This was The Perfect vacation spot. My friend is blind, and 79yo, so we have a few necessities when choosing a rental. This house and location were exceptional. The location was quiet, and she really enjoyed being able to wiggle her toes in the sand of her "private beach". The layout was easy to maneuver once she got her bearing.. She was especially thankful to be able to bring her little dog with her. She said the couch was very comfortable for her "old hips", too. The WiFi was a real blessing, since I didn't have service otherwise, and needed it for directions. The beds were comfortable, the water pressure & temperature was great, and we cooked-in each meal without missing a beat. The basic amenities were perfect for us, and the Piggly Wiggly was close enough for a quick grocery run. The sunrise and sunsets were beautiful, too. I hope to bring the family back one day. I appreciate the ease, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Thank you.

Accommodated our whole family perfectly. We had so much fun jumping of the dock and lounging in the lake. We fished the majority of the time as well. Nature watching you see a lot of wildlife. Perfect family getaway. I also want to take a second and thank the cleaning ladies at the end. Our lovely basset hound decided to accidentally lock herself in our car while packing to leave and they saved our 2 fur babies that were locked in the car in the horrible heat. Friendly hosts, caring neighbors, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Thank you for letting our family stay in your lovely home.

Best week ever!
We had a wonderful week with 10 to 15 people coming and going. The house was well equipped for cooking (we only ate put 1 time) and the lawn, beach and pier were perfect for games and family time. Pier made docking a pontoon boat easy! Definitely consider coming again.

The most attractive thing was the little created beach down by the water with the two red umbrellas. It was perfect for sitting and enjoying time together in the late afternoon. The red umbrellas became our landmark for when we were returning to the dock. It was an adequate house and met our needs for the week.
