Historic innkeeper's apartment above a brewery taproom

Enjoy the lively setting of this comfortable apartment on the Earth Rider Brewery campus. Easy access to Duluth and Superior attractions. Located above the historic Cedar Lounge taproom, built in 1912, this remodeled apartment was the tavern keeper's quarters. The Cedar Lounge is located on the working Twin Ports harbor.

Noise does travel up from the taproom at times if we have music inside or outside. Please keep this in mind if you are a light sleeper or are traveling with children. We are very rarely open past midnight.

Great place to stay!

We had 7 people total and we had more than enough room to feel at home. It was very clean and spacious. It was a great location, just minutes from canal park. Loved the nightly music. We would definitely stay again!

Great place for friends!

This place was fantastic for our team. We came up to Superior for a bonspiel. Plenty of room to spread out. The taproom staff was awesome, and close to other hotspots in town.

Biking Trip

This place is great. A ton of room for a group of 7 riders, and a phenomenal atmosphere both downstairs and outside at the festival grounds. Our group had no need to go anywhere else at night with all of the great beers and tasty pizzas served downstairs. Will definitely stay here again!!!

Fun location for adult sibling weekend!

A fun, centrally located apartment perfect for an adult sibling weekend out. It’s a very easy 5 minute drive over the bridge to Duluth, MN. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was big. The brewery below had amazing beer and the outdoor music was entertaining. (Music was done by 10pm’ish, we slept well!)

Britt and Leon Fest

The location was perfect, as we were hosting a festival on the grounds. People came and went throughout the day and had a safe place to sleep when they had had enough to drink! The only things I would improve on would be a better stocked kitchen and a second AC unit - it got warm!

Great Place, Great Area

We stayed here because we were doing a fishing charter. It was the perfect place for us to stay. Our first day of fishing got cancelled, luckily there were many bars and fun things to do in the Earth Rider bar and area around. We were all impressed with the space. Thank you so much!

Easy alternative to Duluth

We were originally looking for something in Duluth as we were going to some events in town. Ended up finding this apartment and access was really easy in and out. Worked well for the adults and kids in our group.

Lake Superior Ice Festival stay

We were truly amazed once we got inside. the pictures did not do this property any justice. Loved having everything we were going to do only minutes away. Earth Rider right below did not disappoint, and the bar noise was not bad at all. Property management was extremely quick in any issues we had, both in communication and action. We have recommended this to a lot of people already and hope to make this our staying quarters every time we come to Superior. Big Thanks!!

Fabulous space in an unbeatable location

The space above the Cedar Lounge was spacious (slept 7 of us comfortably on couches, would have easily slept 6 all in beds), well equipped, and in a very fun location. When we stayed there was live music downstairs, providing great entertainment. We also easily walked to downtown Superior restaurants and bars, and it's about as close to Duluth as possible. Check in and out was very easy, and communication was great. Highly recommend!

A comfortable place and a rock show

We didn't spend a lot of time at the property, as we had various activities planned in the area. When we were at the property, it was comfortable, and the communication with the owner was good. I always appreciate a comfortable bed, and the beds were great! We weren't expecting a full stage set up outside the bar with rock concerts the two evenings we stayed, but we made the most of it and thankfully they didn't play too late.

Hidden Gem Property/COMFY BEDS!

Check in very easy. Extremely clean place. Beds & pillows were comfortable! Neat taphouse downstairs with very down to earth kind people, many beer options and some great NA options. Good food! Would book again if we come to town! Big kitchen and bathroom and master bedroom! Two smaller rooms, well put together. Games were fun as well. 10 of 10 experience! Oktoberfest was going on, so we had prime spots for the festivities!

Good space, great location

I've been going to the Earth Rider tap room (Cedar Lounge) for years and always wished I could stay close. Well, there it is, right upstairs. The apartment was very spacious, as clean as in the pictures, and the tap room staff downstairs were friendly and easy to talk about the apartment (and beer of course). My friends and I would do lunch and hiking in Duluth each day, then park our cars in the tap room lot each afternoon to explore the neighborhood on foot. That included tasty breakfast at Superior family restaurant, burgers at the Anchor bar, then my favorite beers at Earth Rider and a simple walk up the stairs to end each night. The apartment was just what we were hoping for, I'll definitely stay there again.

Mankato / Duluth Wedding

We chose this unique location since it was affordable for a wedding we were attending in Duluth. The owner was very quick in responding to any need we had asked. As a bonus there was a music festival on the grounds during our stay. The brewery located just downstairs has some great drink options. Spacious and clean rooms. Alot of restaurants and bars within walking distance. We enjoyed the Anchor bar and grill for cheap burgers. Thanks again for a great experience!

Really fun spot to stay in Superior!

We loved staying here! The location is awesome, being above the brewery (which has many great beer options) plus being within walking distance of multiple bars. The property manager was friendly and provided us with all the information we needed. The apartment was clean and spacious, but our only complaint was any time we used the stove or oven, the fire alarms would go off. Even after it just being on for a short amount of time. Other than that, this place was really great with plenty of space for a big group and in a super fun location. We would stay here again!

Fabulous!

Just fabulous! As others said, super clean!! Very easy access to Duluth - about 2 blocks once over bridge into Superior. Pictures accurately represent the place. Our group was my mother (70+), me (50+), daughter and her boyfriend (17). ALL of us thought was perfect! Loved the friendly bar downstairs - one night there was a band and another night trivia. I will (already have!) recommend this property to others. I'd definitely stay here again. It's definitely a hidden gem. Seriously surprised it's not booked 100% or time. Oh - communication with host was easy! And check in was on own with keypad. Very easy! Oh should also mention we all thought beds were super comfortable and grandma and I both thought pillows were amazing. We went this week (so winter time). If you go in summer there is a window a/c in eating area, ceiling fans in all rooms, and regular fans to supplement in the closets. Again, very clean! Nicely setup.
