Cozy Waterfront Home! 2BR/2BA Large covered deck*fishing dock*floating boat dock

WiFi internet available! Family friendly and perfect for Fishing & Boating - 4 miles from Holden Beach by car and about 3 miles by boat. This recently renovated house was originally a shrimp house for local fisherman to sale and process their catch. It's now a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with a large living/dining/kitchen area. Because of the history of the shrimp house this home is one of the only homes that actually sits on the bank of the Lockwood Folly River. Spacious covered back deck over the water with a uncovered dock on the front that is perfect for fishing. There is also a connected floating dock for your use. Please note that property has 3 additional docks and a boat lift but are NOT part of the VRBO. The Fish House is centrally located between historic Wilmington, NC and exciting Myrtle Beach, SC.

Sleeps 6 with one queen bed in the master bedroom (which overlooks the river), one queen bed and twin bunk beds in the second bedroom. It has a large farm style dining table with additional seating at a large central bar. Windows line the living room wall so that you can enjoy the bird watching, dolphin swimming, and sunrises all from the comfort of the couch!

Bring your fishing pole or your boat as the Fish House is located on the Lockwood Folly River about a mile and a half from the Inter Coastal Waterway. The Lockwood Folly Inlet is situated between Oak Island and Holden Beach and has direct access to the Atlantic Ocean! The Fish House has a large parking area if you do bring a boat and is only a half of a mile from a free public boat ramp. There is also a fish cleaning station and outdoor shower right off the floating boat dock!

Please be aware that there are three piers down from the floating dock that are used by the owners of the property, they can be seen in the pictures. These three piers and boat lift are private and are not part of the VRBO. We ask that all guests limit their usage to the one floating dock. The owners occasionally park on the far edge of the lot away from the house and access their boat by the steps in the side yard. This is far enough away from the house that it should not be disruptive. There are also two cameras on this property for security measures, one on the parking lot and one on the piers.

Nice place to stay. Pretty much anything needed is on hand. Well stocked with the basics and more. Highlight of the stay was the deck and the fishing opportunities it provides. There are large fish here of all types all within casting distance. Planning to return as soon as practical.

Spring break

Amazing place and amazing location. The back porch and dock was were we spent most of our time if we weren’t on the boat. You could watch dolphins, fish and just enjoy the beautiful sunset right from the back door. Definitely will be back.

a True Fishermans Paradise

Our family enjoyed this home so much. We caught Croaker and Black drum and enjoyed being together . The view everyday was so refreshing and an absolute amazing break away from the everyday hustle & bustle. We will be back as long as they will have us :)

Great fishing location

This house was an excellent choice for this older couple. Easy access to the deck which is very spacious. The house has everything you need for cooking and was very clean. Just the two of us but easily will accommodate 6 people. We would stay here again. The host was awesome with helping us navigate the trip with all the road closures due to flooding.

V-Town Fish House

Cozy and comfortable cabin, felt like home. Perfect family vacation! We had our boat docked at the house for easy trips on Lockwood Folly and the ICW. The porch overlooking Lockwood Folly was wonderful. We enjoyed family time and fishing and cookouts.
