There is lot to like and love about the Majapahit Hotel, Surabaya. I loved this historic property in a great central location and I also loved its cheerful and attentive staff. The classic room I had was very spacious and clean, though some of the bathroom surfaces would benefit from replacement. However, for the price, it is hard to complain. Noise from other guests was not a problem during my 3 nights there. The buffet breakfast is quite good and you can order ala carte, including special teas and coffee.

This historic hotel is maintained the grandeur of colonial architecture and the friendliness of the staff. Everyone is very polite, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is amazing. Indonesian breakfast is one of the best in my opinion. I definitely will come back and stay longer

Old-school, classic hotel full of heritage and history, a hidden gem in the hot area of Surabaya. It has friendly staff, good maintenance and very good breakfast. The things one may complain are also associated with the age of this hotel, for example, the rooms mostly have the only window at the entrance side due to the old buiding design, and the kids may find it slightly boring due to the lack of fun facilities usually found in modern hotels, but who can pass the opportunity to live where legends like Charlie Chaplin once stayed?

Hotel Majapahit transforms you back to a different era with it's exquisite decor and history. If you are in Surabaya you must stay at Hotel Majapahit. It has all the amenities required and is in a great location. On top of that the staff are the most attentive I have experienced anywhere in the world. I would rate higher if possible.

Amazing stay

We spent 4 nights at the Majapahit hotel and it was such a fantastic place to stay we found it hard to leave the hotel and explore Surabaya! The room was great (very spacious and well maintained given they are in a historical building). The grounds are stunning. The lobby has a fantastic cocktail bar and the high tea was excellent.

A really nice, colonial style, property. Staff were lovely. For a small hotel, there were several dining options. Food and cocktails were good. It very convenient for Borobodour, yet quiet and peaceful with nice grounds.
