Portofino IV 2024 - Oceanfront in Garden City Beach

Ocean front in north Garden City Beach, South Carolina ~ Portofino IV. A private home community of 12 houses with an ocean front pool (open Easter/April 1 to October 1), landscaped grounds and some of the best views on the east coast. Portofino IV 2024 is a small dog friendly property.

This home has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and comfortably accommodates 14 with 1 king bed, 4 queens, 2 sets of bunks and a sofa bed. Full kitchen, washer/dryer, WIFI, covered porch and private walkway to the beach are only a few amenities that will make your vacation pleasant and memorable. Sorry, no smoking allowed.

Lovely views and location

We had a fabulous trip. The house was perfect. Only thing I would change is update the pillows and leave a broom so sand can be swept up through the visit.

Nice Property

We enjoyed our stay. The property was as advertised. We did not love that a filter replacement occurred while we were there with someone not wearing a mask. This could easily have waited until checkout. We also noticed a wasp nest in the deck lighting that needs attention. The kitchen was well appointed and furniture comfortable. We would stay with Dunes again and would book directly to avoid the VRBO fee add on.

Great view

Pros: This house has an amazing vantage point for sweeping ocean views. The rooms are a great size. Cons: Some of the beds could use replacing as they are saggy and the popcorn ceiling collected a fair bit of dust that needed to be cleaned. The later issue was immediately resolved by the property management team.

The property was just as advertised. Only complaint about the property was the back door was hard for my grandchildren to open. That being said I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Family vacation

The property was clean and everything we needed was included. We forgot beach towels and purchased some when we arrived. A lot of fun activities in the area for all age groups. When we were shopping for groceries, we find out it was bikers week. All good, but those bikes were very loud into the early morning hours. Wonderful vacation!!!

We enjoyed our stay. The deck & view were amazing. The house has everything we needed during our stay. It could use some fixing up but those things didn’t affect our time there at all. We would definitely recommend the house & hope to come back again.

Unbelievably cute, oceanfront house!

We loved Portofino IV. The houses are very cute and everything was so convenient. We also appreciated that the windows were clean. That can be challenging in an oceanfront home. There are some broken seals that need to be addressed in the living room and a new mattress would do wonders for the master bedroom. The kitchen was very well equipped but lacking in storage space. These are minor complaints though. We loved the deck, the deck furniture, the ample parking, and the open floor plan. Having four bathrooms was great for our family trip. We hope to return.
