Shiraraso Grand Hotel

"The Shiraraiso Grand Hotel is a lovely property situated right on the beautiful beach! We had a giant room with a great view. The staff is attentive and helpful (and we needed a fair amount of support!). Shirahama is a great city and there's a lot to see and do. Hot springs public foot baths; a cooking spring; the underwater observation tower; a museum with amazing views from the roof; sandstone cliffs; Entetsu arch...and the hotel has the most delicious soft serve ice cream! Breakfast buffet was impressive with both omelet station and onigiris being made on the spot. Delicious Wakayama citrus and ume."

"We booked a room with open air bath. When checked in at the hotel the staff told us that the open air bath is not hot spring but regular bath water. We needed to do an upgrade if we need to do hot spring in our room. Apparently the information on the website was misleading. The reception areas were nice and the public hot spring sites have very nice views. However, the hotel rooms need renovation. The bathing areas inside our room were molded for 1/3 of the areas from the floor. We ended up not taking any showers inside the room but got all shower and cleaning stuff done at the public hot spring areas."

"I was absolutely amazed with this hotel! Their staff incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel incredibly clean, and exactly as they shown in the pictures, their food its amazing. Everything exceeded my expectations, I totally recommend people to stay and promote this paradise! Thank you to all staff working at this hotel, you are truly amazing!"

"This is a beautiful property (very modern and streamlined) with stunning views of the coast. We stayed in one of the budget buildings next door which was great as we were a large group and there was a common lounge and kitchen. We loved the bakery and shops in the main lobby area. The onsen was loved by everyone in our party. Staff are super helpful and kind. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here."
