"Ginette and Jean-Jacques could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. The interior of the house is both practical and charming. The exterior and surrounding grounds of the house were enchanting. Each time we went away for a day to do some sight-seeing - on our return, seeing the house always made us smile. In short - if you don't like this house - there is probably something wrong with you. Thank you so much Ginette and Jean-Jacques and, please God, we will see you soon again"

"We had a fantastic week staying in a traditional house, renovated to a high standard and equipped with all mod cons. Easy access by car to Limoges. This is a lovely part of France for touring and taking in the gorgeous countryside."

"Quietly located place in the forest at 5 km from major roads. Deer come to the garden in the evening. All facilities available even android TV on which you can cast movies and TV. Good starting place for walks. From 00:00 also very good for night photography. Well received and got a lot of information about the region and surroundings. "This is a delightful cottage tucked away in a small village but with good access to local shops and attractions. It’s well laid out with a comfortable sitting area, and a kitchen /diner with access to a secluded terrace. A really relaxing stay!"

"Centrally located for Eymoutiers, all the town could offer was within walking distance. The access details for the property was confused, as was communication with the host. Once that was resolved and we were met by the host our stay was relaxed and enjoyable."

"Our 3 week tour starting in the Ardeche valley, culminated in our last of 5 hotel stopovers being at Croix de Reh due to its proximity to the Lac de Vassiviere - a stunning location - pre planned on our trip. Croix de Reh was far and away the best of our hotel experiences on our entire trip. The property itself is full of old world charm and our room was spacious and extremely comfortable. Owners Peter and Galla are friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble in making us feel at home. Peter was on hand with a beer and a chat by the pool. And Galya prepared some fantastic meals. All at a very competitive price. We have no hesitation in offering the strongest recommendation for hotel Croix de Reh. "

"There is no question about this small resort it is absolutely astonishing with the surrounding scenery. It just stunning! Beautiful lake and surrounding area with plenty of other breathtaking places to visit. However the lodge we had did have a problem with hot water when we first arrived but was quickly resolved. The main issue was our cabin ( it had extremely creaky floors!) this wasn’t a problem in itself. However if you had to get up during the night you’d wake up the other people you are staying with. Additionally communication with staff was difficult due to the language barrier when trying to sort problems out with the staff however they were very patient and polite. They had plenty of activities to do on site. One thing I would offer that’s not provided is basic amenities such as tea and coffee especially if you’ve travelled a long way to the site (even if you paid extra for it) otherwise very clean and tidy accommodation and again absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! "
