Pros: apartment style, own door, dog friendly, nice area, gas fireplace, friendly staff.
Cons: no wifi one day, run down : big stains on carpet that needs replacing, dust bunnies and moth flying around, could use a better floor clean. Not soundproof - hear downstairs neighbours. Walking path behind building not maintained in winter.

Stayed in one of the hotel unit on this trip. Room was well equipped with all the necessities from a coffee pot to a hairdryer, nothing was missed.
The beds were comfortable for a short stay and room was spacious enough.

Really enjoyed our stay at Le Montagnard, in particular:
-Welcoming host who called me to confirm and share entry details!
-Clean A
-Absolutely fabulous hot tub outside (note the heavy wood lid you have to remove and replace yourself).
Would have loved a kettle to make our tea in the room and lights outside around the hot tub would have been lovely if on.
We would return!

Property is well locateds and fairly well maintained. It is limited in terms of staff and service therefore they are counting on you to be more self sufficient. Think about this place as if you rented a property and not necessarily an hotel. Restaurant has good food and drinks but open only Fridays and Saturdays.
It was a lovely hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Only problem was that staff was not full time and it was difficult to resolve financial issues, although they were finally resolved. It was difficult to communicate by email but this was eventually worked out. Still, a very enjoyable stay.

Wished I knew the restaurant and bar were closed though..it’s a big part of why we booked here. Still, we loved our stay. :)

If you’re looking for a great mountainside ski town feel, this hotel in Sutton has it. Friendly staff. Loved the hot tub and sauna and pool. Family friendly. Large IGA supermarket and many local cafes a short drive away. 12 km to US border. Charming place. We’ll be back!
