Safe and convenient!
Very safe and convenient hotel, the staffs are friendly. The room is spacious and clean, the laundry service is good and very affordable.

The place was clean, the staff was very friendly and they responded quickly to our requests/issues. Clean linen, spacious rooms, working elevator, quiet environment. Same breakfast options throughout our stay - definitely boring.

Great hotel but some Reno’s in some places.
We were a group of 8 people in 8 rooms. Most rooms were excellent however considering we paid the same price for all rooms, some were of lesser quality and obviously older and not renovated. They also had issues with hot water. The rooms in the « older » section should be less expensive

The check-in was nice and the room looked good. The issue was there was no fan or air con and it was very hot in the room, so we had to leave the windows/doors to the balcony open. This resulted in us recieveing mosquito bites all over our faces and arms. Very unpleasant. The rooms at least need fans so you can keep the bugs out. The shower drain was also blocked so you had to turn it off every minute or so to allow it to drain and not overflow. The breakfast was good. Overall the hotel is nice just needs some final thoughts like fans in the place of having windows open or window screens as there are many mosquitos in the area that will come in if the windows are open. Had more bug bites here in one night than our entire camping tour throughout southern Africa!

Many more visits to come
Staff was really friends and breakfast was fresh and delicious. Everything was walking distance away and staff can advise on multiple activities which you can do close by. Would definitely recommend this place!!

Recommend this place
Very well run hotel. The view of the sea was lovely and internet very good. The town and seaside location was a great recovery experience after a busy trip. We loved it. A highlight from our holiday. We stayed an extra night and cancelled a different hotel, so that will tell you this place is worth using.

Great place by the ocean
Great hotel, value for the price. Right by the ocean and good restaurant around the corner for seafood. Place is clean, beds are comfy. Free breakfast is good. Staff super friendly. Secure parking at no charge. Nice sun decks to enjoy the weather. Nice bar on property with friendly bar staff. Breakfast ladies were friendly and very helpful. Front desk gentleman was friendly and very helpful suggesting local things to do. He even called and made a dinner reservation for us. Highly recommend this place.

Good stay in Swakopmund! Close to the Jetty!
Really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel A La Mer in Swakopmund. Well located, at a walking distance from the main restaurants and city center. Spacious room, clean, good bed, shower, except there is no fridge at the room.

Well Priced, Nice Breakfast, Staff Need Training!
The good points: Price, tasty fresh breakfast, helpful, friendly front office, clean light rooms (stayed in new section), decent location to walk to town center, the pier and the beach. The beds were comfortable and the bar open from 1700-2200 on the first floor with a lounge next to it was nice as was the upper roof deck when the sun was shining (not that common during our stay). The bad points: Noisy very inconsiderate cleaning room staff. Slammed doors and made noise early in the mornings and came into our room without even knocking. Noise from neighbors. Not good sound insulation and almost any noise seems to travel. Very weak wi fi other than at the front office. Frustrating to use if you want to open any web pages. Group tables in the breakfast room where you are placed right next to strangers without a choice of seating. All seating pre-assigned with name tags on tables so if you are not a larger family, you can count on sharing with strangers which we did not enjoy. We found the room very cold. Everything is modern with concrete/plaster walls and floors. They did provide a small floor heater when we requested it.

enjoyable stay
we had a nice stay, also surprised by an upgrade to bigger room. hotel is very nicely situated and security of high standard. breakfast is very nice and enjoyable. perhaps it will be good to have a little mini bar and a ice machine in a central place. will definitely stay here again

Excelent value
Very good hotel. Rooms are large, spotless, with all amenities, good wifi connection (which is rare in Namibia), very well decorated, with a balcony and sea view. Breakfast is above average for this class of hotel. Marina and Nina are fantastic hostesses and always ready to help. Price is a surprise for what you get, although I think I profited from a seasonal promotion.

Hotel A La Mer.
So the place is well located and close to the beach, shops, etc. The morning breakfast was simple. The room was neat. For the price you get is well worthed. If you watch TV don't expect a TV in the room. You need entertain yourself in another way.

Great stay next to the beach- any time again
We had a great stay in an awesome location.Room was spacious and very beautifully designed.The Hotel itself is as well very beautiful and we felt great...The staff was very nice and helpful and we enjoyed our chats with them.They organized a great tour for us and as well the shuttle to Windhoek.Would stay here any time again also as they have a very tasty and wide variety breakfast

This hotel is perfect.
We couldn't have asked for better accommodation. The hotel rooms are new and very modern. Loved everything about it. Location is perfect. Had lovely views of the jetty.

Nice hotel with friendly staff
