About this property

Hot Tub & Pool Table, 4BR Swannanoa, Sleeps 9

  • Summary:

Picture sinking into your private hot tub after a day in the mountains, then gathering everyone around the outdoor fireplace on 1.5 wooded acres, with a pool table waiting inside for round two. We're in Swannanoa, between Asheville and Black Mountain, and our 4-bedroom, 3-bath home sleeps 9, with two en suite bedrooms.

    The Space:

    THE SPACE

We built our welcome around groups who want to be together but still have their own corners. Inside, you'll find a spacious living room with an indoor fireplace for cooler mountain evenings, a dining area big enough for group meals, and a pool table where the friendly competition tends to run late. Step outside and the private hot tub, outdoor fireplace and outdoor gathering areas are all yours. The layout works especially well for families, multiple couples and multi-generational trips: two couples can each have a private en suite, while the queen room and bunk room are comfortable for everyone else.

    BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS (sleeps 9)

    • Primary suite: king bed, a couch, and a private en suite full bathroom

    • Bedroom 2: queen bed with a private en suite full bathroom

    • Bed linens are provided

    KITCHEN & DINING

Our fully equipped kitchen has a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer, plus cooking basics, dishes and silverware, and wine glasses for the toast at the end of a good day. Start your morning with the coffee maker and coffee we provide, then spread out at the dining table for breakfast or a big group dinner. If you're planning a feast for a crowd, you'll be working with one oven, so it's fun to share the cooking.

    OUTDOORS

Our home sits on about 1.5 private acres with wooded surroundings, so it feels peaceful the moment you pull in. You'll have a backyard, a patio, and outdoor furniture for morning coffee or evening conversation. After a day of exploring, soak in the private hot tub or settle around the outdoor fireplace. There's plenty of on-site parking, so everyone in your group can arrive together.

Family friendly, great location

Location to Asheville was great (about 25 minutes) and you felt like you were in the mountains even though it was an easy drive up to the house. House had lots of amenities but was a little more worn than some of the pictures showed (unmatched paint, old furnishings, shower wall peeling). Perfect set up for our large family so we would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Aesthetically pleasing - great for younger guests

The house was hard to locate on GPS. 2 of the 3 cars we arrived in had mixed issues. I have mild joint issues and found the house difficult with height of toilets and couch. The hot tub needs to be skimmed. House is in a beautiful area and well stocked. Host needs to provide a place to hang clothing. Ironing board was provided but vacation. All in all a good stay.

Very nice place.

Very clean. Beautiful area. Fairly convenient to Asheville. Loved the hot tub fit 5 easily. Very nice beds. Big rooms. Pool table was nice for kids. Well equipped kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms. Nice beds. Fireplace outdoors on patio was great. Wood provided. We had an issue with a smell like a dead animal but we were able to isolate it and just not use that bedroom/bathroom. PMI was working on it and will hopefully resolve it. One suggestion is a grill for outdoors. I was surprised there was not one.

Lovely end-of-summer vacay

We really enjoyed the house, the fun loft and the area. And our water-loving lab enjoyed her afternoon romps in the creek! Only suggestion is a more welcoming hangout area in the backyard. We would have loved couches or hammocks to lay in as we admired the starry sky.

Perfect spot

We really enjoyed the privacy of the house. Plenty of room to spread out for a larger family. It was only a short drive away from Asheville, hiking, and horse back riding locations. The outside fire place and ping pong table was a favorite of our kids.

Quaint house in good location

The property was as described in the listing. It was very quiet with a beautiful outside area and a creek running along the side which made for a wonderful outdoors experience. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, containers, spices, coffeemaker and Keurig. There was an entire closet for extra sheets and blankets as well. It also had hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, sponges and garbage bags. The location was about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. Definitely recommend visiting the Black Mountain Historic District/Downtown while there. Cute shops and coffee places. There were eight of us, scour adults and four children plus a dog. The house was spacious with two master bedrooms on one side and two bedrooms with a shared bathroom on the other. We would definitely stay there again.
