Our family spent Christmas Week at Campfire Cottage and absolutely adored it! Overall, we had the most wonderful stay. The kitchen was very well stocked with all essentials plus some - a huge plus for us bc we eat all our meals in. I actually brought a few kitchen accessories that aren't standard in condos but this place already had them! The King Bed upstairs was Incredibly Comfortable and the pillows were better than my own home pillows! Exemplary beds!
All of the places you'd expect to be clean were clean but there were lots of cobwebs in places that indicated it hadn't had a Deep clean in a while. Not a big deal.
Our only 2 disappointments had to do with arriving surprisingly early when we didn't hit holiday traffic but being told we'd be charged $89 to check in 2hrs early, no exceptions, not even for Christmas, despite the rental manager confirming the home was vacant & ready. So we had to unload our things on the front porch and come back in order to pick up a Christmas Tree.
Our other disappointment was when we tried to get into the Hot Tub the first full day of our trip, only to jump in and notice a strong ammonia smell and a rim of scum at the water line indicating it hadn't been cleaned or shocked in a while. We filled out the "How's your Stay"email that came from the rental company, understanding it was Christmas Eve and asking to be called the day After Christmas but never were, so we didn't get to use the hot tub all week.
Still a great week in total!
