Lovely place to unwind

It's the coziest cottage to spend a special time with your spouse at. The host was extremely friendly and hospitable and yet we felt like we had our space to unwind and relax and they're building a cute little coffee shop/gifts on the property. It's closeness to Rickets Glen State Park is a plus!

A Wonderful Respite!

The pictures don’t do it justice, such a cottag-ey feel, beautifully decorated! The bed was very comfortable, the space clean, delicious breakfast, and super friendly service. We enjoyed a day of hiking at Ricketts Glen. Will recommend to friends and family.

Cottage in the Woods is a gem

Staying at the Cottage in the Woods was wonderful. It was a nice retreat after hiking the Glen. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, the property was inviting, the room was super cozy, and breakfast was delicious. We would stay there again!

Perfect Stay

What a wonderful place! Super clean and very welcoming place. Claytonna is a wonderful host and a great cook. Breakfast was large and delicious. Location is perfect for a visit to Ricketts Glen. Can’t wait to visit again. Don’t miss out on a stay here.

Warm and Quiet Stay!

My partner and I enjoyed our weekend stay earlier this month on a visit to Rickett's Glen State Park. True to listing, our suite and the property in general is within minutes of the park. Breakfast provided by Claytonna was certainly restaurant quality, the coffee bar and access to porch/grounds also much appreciated. This was a delightful bed & breakfast experience.

Excellent Cottage

Beautiful Property and Owners!

My wife and I stayed this past weekend and fell in love with this place. Claytonna and her husband have made this place special for anyone who stays. The room are spacious, bathrooms are huge, we stayed in the Hummingbird and had a tub and a shower. Everything was decorated so nice, and the outside areas were great with firepit and seating... my wife is already making plans for a girls trip and we plan on coming up again next year.

Weekend retreat

The whole w perience was great, from the accommodations to the hosts. The hosts were amazing and we have never seen anyone go above and beyond as this couple did. Not only to us but their other guests. Breakfasts were great and they always had a fire ready for us to light in the outdoor fireplace to sit and u wind at night with their house cat coming to sit on our lap. Great place to go if you are looking for a quiet weekend and enjoy a little of hiking.

Great attention to detail

Claytonna’s hospitality was beyond words. She was really communicative beforehand when booking the listing and a sweet host while my boyfriend and I were there. The Hummingbird Suite was accurate to the online description/ pictures and it was really nice seeing it all in person. I loved Claytonna’s breakfast spread each morning and lounging on her property in the back after eating or whenever we pleased. I was so in awe by her and her husband’s handy craftsmanship. She said they built the house and almost everything on the property, like the Treehouse stay too (listing on Vrbo). Claytonna made our trip to PA so special and I am really thankful for that.

Ricketts Glen Stay

First time in a real B&B and it was wonderful. We were pleasantly greeted by our host and she showed us our room and explained to us, what to expect during our stay. Clay was very knowledgeable about the area, pointing out places to eat and how to reach all the hiking trails. She was a very good conversationalist. We had wonderful conversations about our lives, family and friends. We spent most of our time hiking, sight-seeing all the waterfalls, covered bridges and all the beautiful creations of God. After a long day of hiking, we knew there would be a comfortable bed waiting for us and a delicious breakfast in the morning. We stayed (3) nights. Our stay was a very relaxing. A much needed time to clear our minds. We found all the people, either on the trails, in the restaurants and especially our host to be very friendly.

Cottage in the Woods was an excellent place to stay and celebrate our anniversary. The property is cozy and beautiful, hosts are very friendly- welcoming us like family. Breakfast was delicious and so filling- just what we needed for our full days. Claytonna was so friendly and engaging, sharing the “things to do” in the area.
