Lived up to the advertising. Very peaceful. All l could hear were bell birds in the distance and my tinnitus!!!Qualty inclusions. Lots of interesting curios in the cottageVery pleasant stay would be happy to come again.
The cottage was clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and cute. The surrounding area was green and beautiful. We especially enjoyed seeing the kangaroos in the morning as well as the exotic birds that would visit. Margaret and Kon were excellent hosts and made sure we had everything we needed.
The cottage is perfect for a break away from civilisation, abundant wildlife, lorikeets came down each morning for breakfast with us, cottage was spotless and very comfortable, especially the bed.
Could not find a fault with this place.
I stayed here with my husband for a day while traveling around Australia, and it was so much nicer than any of the hotels we stayed at. The owners were kind enough to provide breakfast items inthe fridge for us upon our arrival, which was really nice. The property is beautiful, and we really enjoyed seeing the kangaroos and parrots, and getting acquainted with the resident flock of helmeted guineafowl that roam the property. The couch and bed were very comfortable and everything was really clean and homely. Keep an eye out for the king parrots that like to eat acorns from the oak trees near the parking area, and for the little jacky dragon lizard that lives around the firepit. I can't recommend this listing enough for anyone visiting Sydney, as it's only 45 minutes from the inner city.

It’s a very peaceful setting, lots of beautiful countryside all around. Kangaroos really do come up to the house. The house itself is clean and as the pictures depict. It was winter when we stayed and the single air conditioner didn’t do much to warm the bathroom or bedroom, but it was basically OK. Other owners were attentive and very helpful. Which is our one gripe with this property. Nowhere in the pictures or description does it mention the main house where the owners stay, is right next to this rental. You can see there house from the kitchen window, it’s a stones throw away. Their fruit garden is adjacent to the rental, I guess they sometimes tend to it, which would put them up against your window. Just be wary of that, if it doesn’t matter to you, this place is great value.
This was a perfect spot for my partner and I to re-charge our batteries over the October long weekend, after a few hectic weeks at work. The bed was super comfy and it was great just to relax outside in the sunshine, listening to the various bird calls, and watch the occasional kangaroos or fox wander by. We'll be back again I'm sure.
I booked this retreat for a surprise honeymoon for my daughter and new son-in-law as they love nature and all it involves. They absolutely loved it, especially the firepits, walking trails, wildlife, and serenity. They said the owners were amazing so they want me to book some time for myself.
Me and my partner were there for 2 nights, and we enjoyed our stay. Everything was excellent. Cottage was nice and clean, had everything we needed, plenty of area to walk around the garden. Lovely host. The fire pit was lovely to enjoy especially in winter.
Dear Kostek and Margaret
Wanted to thank you for your beautiful place. It was unforgettable. Very quite and peaceful. It was exactly what we needed. Your beautiful nature amazed us. We would love to come back one time.
A lovely place to get away from it all, so peaceful and serene.
The photos are accurate, the cottage is beautiful and clean and all the extra touches are much appreciated.
We were looking for somewhere peaceful and close to nature and we found it at Six Oaks where we stayed for a couple of days. The cottage was clean and cozy with a very comfortable bed. Provisions were supplied for a continental breakfast, which we didn't expect. We walked extensively around the property which is just beautiful, with the sound of bell birds never far away. On the day we checked out we had hoped to stay in the area for the remainder of the day but unfortunately the lockdown had occurred the previous evening and we had to head straight home. We hope to go there again some time.
Lovely cottage. Spacious enough for a couple. The main room looks out onto the plain and woodlands, very tranquil and perfect if you're looking for an escape from the hectic day to day. The reverse cycle aircon provided sufficient heating for the place. A slow combustion stove would make it perfect. (There is a fire pit outside however, which was great!). The bed deserves extra mention - super comfy! The only small let down was the fact that the bedroom is East facing and has no curtains or blinds. So if you're looking forward to a sleep-in on your weekend away take your eye mask.
The experience is exceptional.
Everything was great. Nice and cozy cottage, huge area to explore. Great hosts. We had a lovely time at the property. Highly recommended :)
This place is so beautiful , quiet and peaceful. It was lovely, clean and had everything we needed plus a welcoming note and surprise from Kostek and Margaret , who are just a friendly special couple. We both had such a blessed time
I stayed with my partner for two nights, a lovely cottage, clean and homily.
Enjoyed the garden with fresh herbs and vegetables. Enjoyed the visits from the Kangaroos every morning and evening. Highly recommend and would definately book to stay again.
