Sunflower Cottage - relax with spa bath and fireplace

Sunflower cottage is a pet-friendly 3-bedroom holiday house. It is located in South Katoomba, between Katoomba and Leura, two of the most popular towns in the Blue Mountains area.
There is a large veranda at the front with a great view into the valley and out the back is an enormous yard. Off-street parking for several cars. The family bathroom features a spa bath and there is another toilet.
Well-behaved pets are welcome with no extra fee. Please be aware though, there is no enclosed yard. Your pets can stay inside the house but please keep them away from the bedrooms.

Nice warm house with fireplace

I loved the house as it kept the wind and rain out. The local cockatiels were so fun to watch. Glad we had a car. The hills were huge and we would not have seen much of the town. Great hikes on the day we got sun.

Lovely comfortable property

We loved staying in this cottage. Walking is not for the faint hearted as the roads are very steep but it is a very pretty location. The cottage was clean and well equipped with comfortable beds.

We had a fabulous time at sunflower cottage. The house was spacious and the rooms were very comfortable! The central heating kept us nice and warm and the house was in a good location and it was easy to drive and navigate around from the cottage.

Very well appointed. Beds were super comfortable. Great location between Leura and Katoomba. Would have liked some wood for fireplace and/or directions to source some but other heating was more than adequate…very cosy.

Great accommodation

The house had everything we needed and more. It was neat and tidy. It was easy to access everywhere we went. The host was easy to communicate with in the lead up to our stay. The only thing I would add would be an island bench (like from Ikea) to make food preparation for 6 a bit easier.

Convenient location, well set up

Stayed here for four nights with the family. Loved the house layout and the little touches like the coffee machine and well equipped kitchen. The beds were comfy and the verandah was perfect for an afternoon cocktail. We didn’t realise how steep the slope was till a message prior to check in and we appreciated all the comms from the property manager. The only negative feedback I have is that the couch in the living area is spectacularly uncomfortable, and the doonas are covered in some kind of plastic material (I appreciate the need for hygiene but on a humid night it was less than ideal).

Not secure for dogs - very little seating

Front gate broken no protection from street, no gate on balcony. Not secure for pets. Backyard area shabby & not managed. Backyard very Slippery & dark no lighting at night. One 3 seat lounge - no other comfortable seating. We were half hour late for check out at 10.00 & were abused by cleaner / supervisor who was very rude & nasty - will not stay again. Very disappointed

We didn’t hear directly from the host, but we received an email with the entry code and address and a few other details. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the late afternoon. The spa bath was an enjoyable extra.

Sunflower Cottage was the perfect getaway! From the moment we arrived, we felt instantly relaxed. The cottage is beautifully presented and cozy. The highlight for us was the spa bath and fireplace – the perfect combination for unwinding after a long day. The fireplace created such a warm atmosphere, while the spa bath was pure luxury. The location is peaceful and quiet, yet still close to everything we needed. If you’re looking for a place to relax, recharge, and enjoy a bit of indulgence, Sunflower Cottage is ideal.

Nice little house and a good spot, close to all the things we wanted to look at. I couldnt figure out how to turn the central heating on, and only 1 oil heater worked, but luckily we brought enough fire wood. Thanks

Great weekend getaway
