This place was a little great escape! Rick and Rita were so kind and welcoming! Breakfast made to order each morning with the coziest setup! Convenient location with an at home feel! Would absolutely return!
The suite we had was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast each day was delicious and included fresh baked bread (banana one day; blueberry the next).
The owners were personable and welcoming.
We’re already thinking about returning.
This isi the home of a retired couple. The home is immaculately clean. The back yard is beautiful. Quick drive to the Skaneateles little downtown waterfront. Breakfast made to order with many options. Only 2 suites. We stayed in the Frederick suite which had a soaker jetted tub, very nice. We really enjoyed our stay there. Oh, and huge TV in the room!
I had the nicest stay at the property. The host and hostess of this B&B were incredibly friendly and gracious. I appreciated their attentiveness while also striking the right balance of not overbearing. The property is well maintained, clean, safe and beautiful. It is within walking distance of downtown Skaneateles at a bit over a mile. I enjoyed the serenity and ease. Thank you.
Nice views from room with comfortable bed. We were on a road trip and the home made to order breakfast was a great way to start the day. It included a mini breakfast bread that was wrapped up to go for us. My husband lost his wedding ring there. The host scoured the rug..found it and mailed it to us after checking with us when we were going to be home.
Shared house but nice private feeling.
We had a fantastic three-night stay at Deer Run. This is a true B&B. Owner-occupied, with two rooms upstairs for guests. The house was immaculate and Rita and Rick were great hosts. Check-in was a breeze. Breakfasts were excellent, with a wide range of options each day, cooked to order. At about 1.7 miles from the downtown, this isn't walkable to the business district, but it was a quick ride in by car. We would definitely go back!!
This place was beyond enjoyable we would definitely come back in the future. The owners were hospitable and lodge is close to the downtown area about a 2 minute car ride!
Our stay was amazing! Rick and Rita were very friendly and accommodating hosts! The place is well kept, homey and offers many amenities, like the gazebo with fire pit. My girlfriend and I built a fire and gazed at the stars one evening during our stay. It offers a great location with nearby restaurants and stores within a 3-5 miles drive.
We loved our stay at Deer Run Lodging House! The hosts were wonderfully welcome and so kind. Their breakfasts were amazing, and a huge treat. They made it to-go since we were busy with Syracuse University graduation festivities. We have very special memories of our stay in Skaneateles! Mahalo to the Deer Run Family!
Our stay was absolutely PERFECT! The fresh fruit, coffee, and homemade baked goods that awaited us every morning (to have while our actual breakfast choice was being prepared) were outstanding. I never felt like I was in someone else’s personal space or anyone in ours. The house was spotless and our hosts were friendly and accommodating. The grounds and surrounding area were beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend.
My wife and I stayed 2 nights for a short visit to the area. Upon arrival Rick greeted us right away. Check in was super simple. Rick was very polite and helpful with suggestions for things to do in the area. Our room (Frederick) was super clean and very comfortable. The next morning Rita greeted us for breakfast. There were many great options to pick from that were made fresh, in addition to diffetent delicious breads and fruit salad each morning. Rick and Rita are amazing hosts, they make you feel like family. I would absolutely stay here again if/when in the area.
We spent two nights at the Deer Run Lodging house. Lovely venue with sweeping lawns and gazebo.Rick and Rita couldn't have been nicer and the accommodations were spotless and comfortable, with en suite private bath. Breakfast was amazing with Rita's home-made bread. Easy access to wineries, distilleries, and hiking in the area. close to town and the lake for shopping, dining, etc. Would stay there again!
