The beautifully decorated cottage will be your home away from it all while being surrounded by wildlife and still conveniently located near Lake Wallenpaupack, breweries, restaurants and hiking trails. Enjoy the easy access; convenient location and entire private property during your stay. Come see why guests keep coming back!

    The cottage is located on a private dirt/stone road it’s recommended not to arrive in lower from factory vehicles.

    * Winter* During snow conditions I have the road plowed to access the property. Anticipate snow during your stay and that four wheel drive will be necessary to access the cottage along with snow conditions at the property. Shovels are provided if needed. Expect snow and icy conditions.

The cottage was the perfect place for us, who were in the Poconos for a wedding. It was very clean, cozy and you can tell a lot of thought was put into making a great experience for their guests. Perfect getaway to relax!

Our Stay at Bear Den

We enjoyed our 5 days at the Bear Den. It was very relaxing, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed using the fire pit and the grill outdoors as well. A true pleasure of the location was being surrounded by birds and bird song during out stay.

Cozy and Quiet

If you like a quiet area with deer roaming around without an apparent fear of humans, this is perfect for you! The place has been updated and feels cozy. We both like how the living room was decorated to make it feel homey. We will definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

It was so clean with adorable touches in the home! The patio was perfect for a glass of wine in the evening. It was close to everything, but quiet and relaxing. The shower was a bit small for larger people, but beds were very comfortable. The list of places to eat and explore was really helpful! We found so many great spots to eat!

Very clean and quiet retreat

Steve’s place is incredibly clean and well maintained, inside and outside. The woods surrounding the house are quiet and pretty. Games and Netflix made my kids happy. Great coffee machine and accommodations pleased the adults! Will definitely return!

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night. We didn’t get to fully enjoy the place because of having limited time. However, the time that we did have there was very enjoyable. The house was very nice, quaint, cozy, and comfortable. Steve was very accommodating with enabling us to check in early. We would definitely stay here again.

House was quiet nice little piece of property road was rough but there were big rain storms before we arrived. Houses around the property vacant very run down. Overall nice little house to hang out have a fire and be with a couple close friends. We mostly were on the lake fishing in our boat
