"This is a great hotel in the heart of San Remo. Spa is newly refitted and the relaxation area / steam room / sauna are high quality and immaculately clean. The only reason for my 4 star review instead of 5, is that our room was connecting to another and the noise transference is more than we would have liked. In mentioning this to the staff, we were told that our only option was to pay the excess to upgrade to the next category of room. I wasn't angling for an upgrade - just needed a quiet room!"

"We were here (like many) for the fete du citron. The location is fantastic, near station, promenade, old town etc. Staff were really nice. The little "extras" (citronnade, candy bar!) are nice gestures that speak a lot for a good attitude here. Room is perfectly good. A bit of noise from outside but I think that (thin-ish walls) is fairly common in this part of the world, Nice was the same. Rooftop view is wonderful, and as we found it is a great place if you need to work for a bit, as well as for a drink. Thanks very much!"

"Hotel Bleues le Balmoral was built in 1859, so it is an older hotel with many coats of paint and old wrought iron balconies. It faces the Mediterranean to the west and the beach road, so expect some traffic noise. Not too fancy but the breakfast hall was excellent and well maintained. Beds were soft but comfortable, with lots of pillows and crisp white sheets. Fridges only available in the Deluxe chambres. Thank you to the day manager, Sabrina, who was very friendly and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. French, English, and Italian are spoken at this hotel. Recommended for direct access to the beach, dining hall and location at the edge of "old town". SNCF regional train was a 10 minute walk. This hotel was very affordable. Merci beaucoup."

"Check-in and check-out were extremely easy and efficient. They had well written, easy to understand instructions of procedures and house rules. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room , although not large, was very cozy and clean. The bathroom was a nice size. The kitchenette was lovely. I appreciated the little welcome gift they had on the counter- it was quite useful. The location was very walkable to everywhere I wanted to go. I liked that there were games available to check-out at the front desk. The whole area was quiet, felt very safe and was quite scenic. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and hope to stay there again on my next trip. "
