"Entrance to the home was a bit scary because of the dropped off to the garage floor, especially at night when it was dark! The hot tub didn't look clean based on the look of the water. Other than that, everything else was fine. "
"Easy check in, nice staff. Loved the simple breakfast and the coffee in the lobby. Nice little swimming pool and hot tub. Room was cute with a nice view. "

"The property was a perfect for my family. It was very clean, roomy and in a perfect location. Some of the rooms did get a letter warm and there was no fan to help circulate air from outside. A lot of the fixtures were loose (shower, bath, cabinets), and of need of maintenance. The air hockey table had one side that kept falling off due to missing screws Other than that it was a very nice home."
Delight in the quiet relaxation of Tahoe Donner this season!
10/10 Excellent
"Our stay at the Hillside Haven for seven nights was very relaxing. It is a house in a quiet neighborhood of Truckee with very easy access to Lake Tahoe and many other areas. The management company was excellent. I liked that the living area was upstairs and that there were pretty views of the forest and mountains and a cross breeze on warm days. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. It was exactly what we needed at a reasonable price. We were also traveling with mountain bikes, so having a garage was very helpful. Also, there was plenty of cleaning products, paper products and I loved that we could do laundry there. We did not have to run out for any paper or cleaning supplies while we were there, which I really appreciated and have had to do at other rentals. The only comfort suggestion I would make, was if there could be more comfortable seating in the living room and deck. The couch was usually fought over. No one wanted to sit in the antique chair and the deck wooden chairs were hard and uncomfortable, so we didn't sit out there much. Otherwise all was perfect!"
"We stayed at this property for 4 nights and we unfortunately had some bad experiences, most of which were avoidable by the property managers - we had to deal with mice running around in the house, not cool, not hygienic and freaked everyone out- house was in beaten up shape with need for lots of updates - beds were saggy, couches were old, dinning table seats had no cushions and hurt our butts, drains were clogged- TVs are old and running on not so reliable platforms- Basketball hoops was broken and had open plastic edges that could hurt kids- Pots and Pans were all dirty and dinged up, non-stick coating was off and pans were unusable, cutting board had mould and cracks all over, knives were blunt- garage door was damaged (apparently by a bear)- hot water took for every to show upFirstly, when you are paying close to 800/night, you expect these things to be in order and sorted out for you. The management once contacted sent someone out who layed down mice traps and brought us new pots and cutting board, cleared 1 drain, etc. but it was too late, they should have accounted for these checks prior to us checking in. Chipped Non-stick pans are health hazzard and Mice running around is just Gross.Despite these inconveniences they did not offer any reasonable refund (offered 50/night refund) which is greedy and stupid in our minds. We feel the best thing to do is to IGNORE this property and let them learn a lesson on how to be more professional and organized "
